Are there any outlying suburbs left in Detroit? I remember reading a while back that the city wanted to shrink the footprint and was bulldozing entire neighborhoods that only had a few families living in them to do so.
First Google dropped the "do no evil" motto years ago publicly.
Second I find ironic that scores of/. users are screaming about Windows 10 being spyware and yet happily use Google software and still believe this motto.
But desktop is synonymous with business and that is where MS makes it's money. And since Linux and or Mac will *always* be a niche market when it come to business desktops I'd say they are still the big fish.
By solving the issues internally regulators don't get to see the details and thus they fail to create or impose more regulations against the companies. My friends father is part of a regulatory committee in his industry and the majority of new regulations come from disputes.
You realize that your cell phone is based on a subscription model don't you? Unless you pay someone for some kind of connectivity it is pretty useless as a phone. And yet you have no issues with that....
Considering that large companies probably will disable this feature using a gpo (being able to add and or log in using a Microsoft account) it's probably not even an opinion worth asking.
No it is not a crime not to report violations, not yet anyway. However the fact that the OP failed to report the violations is also part of the problem.
The current corporate belief is that they have no duty or obligation to their employees
Based on the recent hires in our company the same could be said for the employees about a company. Lets face it both sides of the fence are to blame for the mess that is the current IT industry.
I would bet that previously as new clubs allowed people to drive further, they just made bigger golf courses
That is what is happening right now most of the PGA sanctioned courses have over the last decade been modifying lesser difficulty holes to be either longer, more strategic with hazard placement or redesigning the green area.

And Google is different how? Remember with Google unless you are a paying customer you are the product and they make money from you.
