    My thoughts exactly, if an OSS project success has more to do with the VC system that houses it than the developers working on it I feel OSS is doomed. This mentality spits in the face of all the OSS projects that don't use git.

    You mean HTML + JavaScript, without it HTML would be pretty useless for other than displaying text. Oh yeah and lets add CSS into the mix as well...

Yeah I wondered that myself especially up here in Canada where 5 out of 12 months a year they spread salt on the roads liberally. That and the nature of the work truck and I could see these trucks not lasting more than 3 years before the resistance is degraded to the point where it starts to fail.

    Yes, but why would the robot want to? A robot doesn't naturally have the same desires a a human. Without greed for money or power and without the desire to reproduce or even prioritize survival, why would it try to override the "logic bombs"?

    If it was tasked to protect humans it might.

    Sorry for such a lame movie quote but it certainly does make sense for an AI to break the rules if there is no alternative when following the rules.

    Here in Winnipeg Canada they have the Citizen Online Reporting System http://winnipeg.ca/police/coplogic/default_cats.stm. Not all crimes can be reported but probably most of the common ones...

    From what I have read the drones can only deliver anywhere within a 10 mile radius of a fulfillment center. I am not anywhere near a fulfillment center so I am not sure how practical these would be. Unless they plan on building thousands of these centers all over the US.

    I would say that Google web interfaces should not be the standard by which browsers should be evaluated.

    ^^ This to the power of ten.

    Considering that almost all of Google's markup is pulled together with some kind of JavaScript code that is tuned for their JavaScript engine, why else would it only work in their browser.

    Google also does this with your account profile information by scraping other social sites. I know this for a fact because other than my username I have never (nor had a reason to) view / edit my account profile. With the latest use your Google+ image / Name in ads uprising I checked out my account profile and was shocked that it had all the info from my LinkedIn profile as well info from my twitter account populated.

    FYI: The only service I use from Google is mail and I have never used service interoperability between any social account and Google.
