    Interesting how the writer appears to assume since it's "punk"-based these groups can't sing for shaite. In reality, I'm sure they are less apt to use these 'autotuners' than say miss Britney.

    Could a part of the reason that so many virii, trojans, etc.,. target Windows boxes be because the vast majority of Internet connected PC's are running windows?

    If 80% of the computers on the Internet were running OS X or Linux don't you think there'd be more Mac and *nix malware?

    Now I'm not saying one OS is more secure than another (although that may be the case as well), just an easier and more effective target.

    Basically their patent says: Once someone figures out how to create a floating hologram, we figured out how to interacte with it by get this "TOUCHING" THE HOLOGRAM!

    I was merely highlighting the point that *I believe* Deja was the first search service that provided the technique and prior art, not Google.

    I've wondered why no one has come up with a system to play online casino poker with a "perfect" algorithm.

    Start it with $50 bucks and let it play...

    If the case is that you would always lose, even playing "perfectly" what are your chances playing imperfectly?

    If you win more often than not... let it play nightly and up it's bets.

    What am I missing?

    Is there really a Spam Lobby? What's the issue getting this bill passed?

    I mean who the hell wants to deal with spam, beside the spammers of course... and from prior /. stories I was under the assumption that they were slowly, slowly having issues making money due to better spam blocking techniques and people fixing their open relays.

    I have a BEAUTIFUL 133" picture projected onto a 16:9 screen for $1k less than your plasma. You need to think about what you really want. A theater experience and peoples jaws dropping or an over priced flat conventional TV?

    $3k for a lot of real estate. But I think getting say 2 or 3 17" or 19" LCDs and running them with an extended desktop would allow you to actually be more productive and probably save some money.

    Although I suppose this would be the monitor to play Doom III with, IF you have to play it in your office.

    I paid $2400 for a Sharp m20x DLP projector and have a PC running it for HDTV and DVD's in my family room. That's a 133" flat screen for even cheaper. ;)

    Okay, so she forgets her cellphone or the battery is dead and you go about your business forgetting to check the message after seeing it's "Unavailable". :)

    Point being... just because you came up with "solutions" to that problem doesn't mean you'll never miss an important or wanted call just going by the CallerID.

    Wired vs. Wireless Phones, Is Wireless a viable standalone option.

    I may look into it although I use the land line now for DSL, which would go up if I didn't use their telephone service.

    Well, this is a sort of caller ID that spits the telemarketers a canned message if there number is on the phone companies list.

    I wouldn't feel safe not answering all of the "Out of Area" and "Unknown" calls... who knows maybe it's your wife from a pay phone after her car broke down. Shaite happens.
