I agree, all of my production servers have RH 7.x on them. From the few times I've used MDK I've felt it was a cheap OS. Just didn't seem like it would take a beating. Then again, I never liked RedHat due to its bloat. Anyways, to make a long story short, who has more market share in the server market? Probably RedHat. Does Mandrake have a certification? Sure, but you don't hear about it as much as RHCE. Anyways, Even though I've never been the greatest fan of RedHat (I'm a slack kiddie, I admit it!), Its one of the original three distrobutions I grew up with, so I'm going to trust it over Mandrake.

I remember my high school computer teacher that claimed she was 'elder and wiser', and then I said 'Older, yes, but how do you explain wiser when I taught myself *nix, and you had to go to a class to learn MacOS?' I think the majority of the problem is that law makers don't understand technology. I bet 99% of them can't even tell you what TCP or IP stands for. I think we need an agency that deals strictly with the tracking and enforcment of issues like this. I'm sorry, but a police officer from Iowa isn't going to have a clue on how to track someone down online. We need an organization that has "EXPERTS in the field".

Then again, if this agency gets ahold of my MP3 stash, and takes out all of my suppliers, the recording labels have won against me. Which means I'll be forced to buy CD's. If this agency cut out piracy altogather (Uhm.. thats like making a system 100% secure... ha!), EVERYONE would be forced to buy CD's from the recording labels, in which case, the recording labels would have their monopoly back, and I'd be broke from paying $17 for 1 CD that probably has 2-3 songs I like on it... I'm sorry, but I'm a overworked, underpaid admin from a small town, I can't offord to pay that kind of money. The radio stations around here suck, so I guess I'll put an icecream bucket in my car and bang on that on the way to work so I have something to listen to.. *sigh*

Hrm, Evercrack means The Sims? On the mud I used to play, there were lots of people that botted (Set up scripts to do all the work for them). I found this quite pointless. Their character grows, but they did none of the work, thus they could be a very high level, and still have no clue how to play the game effectively outside of the area that they were botting. On the other hand, A sim game that ran in the background, and grew as you and other players tweaked on stuff, would be fun. Wonder if their is a console style sim game out there that is multi player? I am kind of curious about multiplayer FF. I think the idea is great, but I think between my job, the old lady, the kids, school... I'm just not giving myself any time for online games like I used to. I've seen EQ, thought it looked cool, but realized it took way too much time to be good at it, so I never started in the first place.
