I somehow doubt your boycott of moto products are going to change anything. I have about 1000 Motorola cable modems, a couple dozen canopy, and a couple dozen digital set top boxes out in production that all have a Motorola tag on them. I'm not going to stop using them either, as they're good products. I do have a blackberry sitting on my desk too.:D
I think where this will actually hurt them is when Motorola can't find employees willing to work under crap contract conditions. Though that's unlikely considering our current economic problems.
Or they're just asking for it.
My customers fall for this one constantly:

Like the natives that were undiscovered until just this year? I can't find the link, but I thought it was epic that these guys survived till 2008 without being noticed by the rest of the world. I'm hoping there are more of them out there.
Sadly, I have to agree with this. I'm still running XP on my work laptop and workstation at home. Why? Every damn time I install ubuntu, there is ONE vital thing that just doesn't work for whatever reason. Be it buggy nvidia drivers for my card, not having a certain package I'm using at the moment, any number of show stoppers... Sorry Ubuntu, you haven't won the desktop yet.
Side note: I have more than a dozen Debian/Ubuntu/FreeBSD servers at work. And a ubuntu box that controls video playback on Channel 7 of our cable TV feed. =)
You've got something wrong with your P4 then. My main machine is an Athlon 1.8Ghz with 1G ram and a Geforce Ti3@1680x1050... and I get no stuttering problems at all. Infact, I've never had a problem running netflix on here.
Seriously.. WHAT? We don't _NEED_ this to provide rural broadband. If 900mhz, 2.4ghz, 5.7Ghz, and 5.9ghz (are there more?) aren't enough, THEN YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG! I'm providing rural broadband right now over both 900 and 2.4 to over 100 customers. The base package is 1Mbit/512K. Not bad if you live on a farm in Iowa if you ask me.
If this is North Iowa, we hit the 1000 year floodplain in some areas. Cedar Rapids was flooded in unimaginable ways. This is considered an act of god, which every house, everywhere is vulnerable to at some point in time.
I was planning to make a visit over there when I visit my home country in a few years. I wanted to try some "authentic" fish n chips. But if its a 'necessity' to spy on your own citizens like this.... well they can take their fish n chips and sit on them. PFFF. I'll take my lousy American dollar somewhere else.:B
I have about 1500 customers using ATT bandwidth right now. Without saying too much, I might be able to show damages, but its a VERY long shot, and probably not worth it. But, yes I understand how the damages thing works. =)
As an autocrosser (SCCA SOLO II), I must say, most "racing" games don't really take the edge off in the winter. Gran Turismo 4 for the PS2 did an OK job, but not a great one. I look forward to this nice little niche. =)
As if this wasn't weird enough. I didn't realize I had left a digitally imported vocal trance stream running in the back ground. So my version had some nice music to it. Woo.. what a hoot. =D

Yeah.. those stupid teens.. because adults never drive stupid.
My perception has been a little different. I've found EVERYONE to drive like idiots lately. I even have idiot moments.

People's common sense simply gets blinded out by greed. Its sad.

Mine is single core. Probably time to upgrade. =)

Apples and oranges.

Actually, they've found a very high rate of autism coming from the children in silicon valley. :(
To quote a Billie Piper song "Because we want to".

Double Death Penalty! F-F-FINISH HIM!
I think GIMP is actually a great name for it. Compared to Photoshop, it certainly is crippled. Kthx.

Enjoy the latency added to your connection. You know.. that 1ms on every packet adds up. :D
I somehow don't think my poor Integra would do too well on rough terrain. :)
Yeah, I'd file this under 'FAIL'. :| Ok concept, failed execution. And uh.. as others have said, why is this on slashdot?
