Wikipedia: In October 2006, the Melbourne Herald Sun reported that Vegemite is banned in the USA, with Customs officials going so far as to even search Australians for Vegemite when they enter the country, but later reports cast doubt on the claim. The Food and Drug Administration later stated there was no import ban on Vegemite, and that it was never pulled from American supermarket shelves.
1st Corinthians 1:21- For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn't know God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.
1st Corinthians 1:27- but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise.
Actually I run Windows 2000 and there are some games/apps that don't run on 2K and there will be more once DX10 is released. Unfortunately I will not be able to live in the glory days of MS OS'es. Just the way it is.
The goverment should regulate the air quality and the emission standards and impose fines accordingly. Taxing people to crub how much they drive or what car they buy is social engineering and out of line with the principles of freedom. Too many excuses can be made for social engineering...think of children.
As you mentioned you and your friend are very similar and yet members of two opposing political parties. It is my pleasure to inform you that the parties for all intents and purposes are the same. What shall we do then, you ask.
Vote for the candidate that you really would like to win. You are wasting your vote anyway on one of two candidates who are essentially the same worthless corporate pocket politician for life professional, why not use it. Maybe your qualified 3rd party candidate wont get elected this election or the next or the next or the next but sooner or later when the percentage voting for the republicrats starts dropping the 3rd party will win. The good news is that it will start slow and build exponentially. Tell your friends.
While currently a tax on H2's lines up with your social agenda, however noble it may be, it is still social engineering.
What happens when they start taxing anyone who uses too much bandwith.
Perhaps we can tax those who rent and don't buy houses.
Start a tax on people who work on Sundays.
Looks pretty scary to me, but maybe I am just crazy.
How is this insightful? Did you work on the team or have you designed a UAV? How can you be sure that the OS has little to do with the controls or that it could be done with any OS? You may be right but you leave little reason to believe you are outside of "yeah I think that too"
One downside to offering a dev kit for $2000 is that, as you stated, anyone can create a game. While this will result in some very good and inovative games being developed it will result in more absolute worthless titles. IGN or some other game site had a list of the 100 worst games ever and it was suprising to see how many of them were old Atari games. Thanks to the cheap entry and ease of programming anyone could make some lame knock off. This is what led to the Atari downfall and the rise of Nintendo with its Seal of Quality.
If there is to be a cheap dev kit, Nintendo will still have to protect the image it has earned over the last two decades by ensuring a Seal of Quality.
Raid 5 is 3 hard drives at the minimum. Most gamers will have 2 that run in striped configuration as that is the best price/performance ratio saving money for the ever expensive video cards. Corporations on the other hand have servers with dedicated raid cards.
Short answer: Move along nothing to see here.
Not that I advocate killing people but simulators are an inaccurate method of predicting life and death reactions. First off all cars react differently than the simulated one, not that big of a deal but still. Second and vastly more important is the human instict reactions that come with facing impending death or injury. If a simulated car is about to crash into my simulated protected left turn I am not going to fling my cell phone, step on the brakes, and yell my (insert favorite road rage term here).
I could be wrong maybe the simulator sends 1.21 jiggawatts through you ever time you make a mistake. Honestly driving while talking either on your phone to someone in the vehicle is distracting. So is the radio and billboards and good looking women, but I for one am not willing to give up the right to drive unless some one can provide some real world stats showing a marked increase in serious automobile accidents.
1. You have a quote from the article so clearly you RTFA, but your reply has a misspelled word that was in TFA portion which you quote so clearly you did not RTFA.
2. Others reply to your quote which has the correct spelling of SF yet in their reply they misspell the same way so clearly they did not RTFA, but they did read your reply, but they did not read your quote.
All in all San FranCISCO should be renamed San FranSISCO to prevent/. users from making presumptions as to if anyone really RTFA!
I didn't bother to count how many people replied with "Just fix Windows instead of releasing anti-spam and/or anti-viral software." Does this make sense to anyone else. If Microsoft could they would just type the magic code and be done with it, but frankily they just aren't there yet. With millions of lines of code and millions of people looking for some kind of scam there will almost always be a hole somewhere, especially when you have stupid users. So in the mean time putting out free anti-virus/spyware programs is a good way to mitigate the problem.
I mean look at their economy, all that money spent on space exploration has really paid off. Rather than a cool rocket they should be more worried about feeding their starving nation. Priorities my man, priorities.
If I dont like my power company all I have to do is move...Honestly does that make sense to you. I am going to move away from freinds, family, my job, the area I like to live in so I can get power from another company?
The thing is that no one is forcing people to buy windows. If Microsoft wants to make a product that has slashdot intergrated into the os then so be it. There job is to build an operating system that will profit them. Saying they have a monopoly is simply not true. Local power companies are far worse. The whole issue is really quite trival.
Is this decision as big as it seems. Either investors (a notoriously jumpy sort) have a good reason to believe the stock will continue to rise or the news isn't as big as one would have thought.
I did! Said something about China and censorship which of course means the following.
China is bad
Censorship is evil
USA is evil and worse than China
Slashdotting 101: Find the editors buzz words; Post appilicable rant; and ummm thats it.

Equally sad is you define happiness by having money to buy and do things...

So then why are you in America. Russia is obviously the place to be. I mean literacy rates are a large factor in determining where to live.
