They should just charge the India govt to leave the pictures out, $100,000 per blocked facility. Bill Gates will pay for it. He's already paying for their health care, this is just extra pocket change.
I don't think any of these companies IBM, HP, Sun has made the same level of progress linux has in the past 3 or 4 years. Maybe the massive layoffs had something to do with it? Maybe the extreme outsourcing?
I try to pace myself throughout the year and get the game I want at price drop $29.99 or lower. But even if I did pay the new release price, my gaming budget is pale in comparison to my other spending. You can save $10 by sacrificing lunch for a day.
What is clear is that even when AMD had the superior product, it didn't gain massive market share. So same shit different day. At the end all the oems flock to the company that can mass manufacture.
The Phantasy Star series remake is supposed to be the best RPG collection in the making, if only they ever finish it. PS1, 2, 4 all graphically enhanced.
I have no doubt Ubuntu is good for the regular users. But how well is this distro for the more corporate tasks like installing oracle 10 or the more heavy duty stuff.
It's not all about money. M$ has made it OK to push anything out the door as long as you get there first. U.S no longer has a standard for high quality technology anywhere. That high quality title now belongs to Japan, if not India and China next.
I used to do be one of those people first on the block for all newest video cards, but that trend is over for me. When the next gen consoles are ready, I plan to do all my gaming there. The unstable drivers, overheating $5 fans and eyecandy PC games left me with a sour taste.
I seriously would have no problem paying $400 a card if it worked flawlessly for every game and the performance rivals tomshardware benchmarks.
1. Google buys out Opera 2. Google.com now viewable with Opera and Firefox only 3. M$ pay Google to have IE support for Google.com 4. Google reject M$ 5. M$ counter offer 6. Repeat step 4 and 5... 50 times 7. Insane PROFIT!!
Nvidia should just acquire a company that makes FANs. This is the biggest problem facing all the graphics companies as nobody knows how to make an efficient cooling devices that last.
I don't know why so many people like New Egg? Must people really buy everything from the same source?
I find myself picking out the very best parts for my computer from a wide variety of online stores with Pricewatch as the central hub. Yes I have bought from eWiz too, but rarely do I buy more than 3 items from the same place. No single store sells the best of everything.
Well if there is one thing to learn from the PSP, people sure like to wait and wait and wait and wait... until more games come out. Xbox 360 will need a massive arsenal of cult-ish games to win over Japan.
As much as I like Sony, I want to see M$ make them bleed. When I look at all the Tekken, soul calibre, Gran Turismos, it is clear Sony won't last with just another generation with sequels.
This is classic MANUFACTURING 101. This chip will cost nothing to manufacture in 2007. It'll cost a fortune to manufacture in 2005. So they keep the supply low and expenses low temporarily.
Dude I cannot stand any of the DS games but even I have to give props to castlevania. That current sorrow game almost rivals Symphony of the Night from PS1 days. The PSP is desperate for a castlevania 2D, DESPERATE!!
An open standard compatible with all mp3 players would give me a chance to retire my iPod for something potentially better.
The addiction level of Katamari really caught me by surprise.

Tennessee has a 7% tangible tax. Guess they now need an intangible tax to deal with the software issue.

"Revolution, it should be noted, is just a code name - the system's official name will be announced next year"
For once they have a good name and it's just the codename WTF. They should stick to it. Sounds a hell lot better than gamecube of N64.

If this idea is for real I'd say it is the most bold and ballsy concept to ever land on shelf. After all who thought Katamari would be a hit at first.
Aren't we all Testuser from Beverly Hills, CA 90210 at test@aol.com?

Fiber is a must in 10 years. I don't see how we can last another decade at home with 1-5 mbps broadband.
Looks like another opportunity to bash EA some more. EA started all this license buyout BS. Nuff said. Next...

I am positive if I "ever" reach 90 years old, I'll still be playing video games. And if I do any traveling, I'll bring at least a handheld system.
