That's the problem. The guy with 56k claims all he does is check emails. But he's really downloading ISOs, playing games online... slowing everybody down cause he's doesn't want to pay for broadband.
I almost wished Congress would regulate broadband 3Mbps as the bare minimum for online access speed.
My preference is still firefox way over IE. But the 100% CPU usage on so many websites is brutal on your hardware. You can't even leave your browsers open for a long period of time.
Playstation 2 and Sega Genesis are the only two consoles that were released black and won the market for an extended period of time. I too highly prefer my electronic components black, but every other system is truely white.

I have seen plenty of overheating with stock performance speed. The industry norm says.... give consumers the cheapest fan possible while maintaining a higher profit margin. My ultimate suggestion is to run open-cased in a cool room.
HP needs to make their driver problems the top priority instead of putting so much engineering effort into printing speed. Most people at home would be happy with a printer that last 5-6 years, printing at normal speed.
GET RID of Sports. There is too much time wasted on something where less than 1% of the kids actually become professional athletes.
I am a mega basketball, football, baseball fan. But even I can't help but think about the 2-3hrs wasted on football practice. If you want kids to be in good shape. Make everyone run miles at the end of the day, then call it quits.
My sunday newspaper has Dilbert in the frontpage. I remember the days when a kid could wake up sunday morning and have only Garfield and other innocent comics.
Now they are well trained politically, corporately for the next generation of work environment. My neighbors kids always do Dilbert skits. WTF is the world coming to when 10 year olds immitate managers and chief execs for fun?!
Alot of these professors started their career roots with C and old school languages from th 80s. They see no need to change. Why go to C# and have some kid in the classroom smarter than you?
There is still alot of schools out there with a strong focus in C++. The programs figured if you can learn C/C++, you can learn the rest. The reality is not so true. I have seen plenty of graduated kids really struggling to learn a non-Object oriented language.

Sony DID bring the hard drive to market. It was only taken off due to hard drive image-copy pirating reasons.
So technically this router feature is the first in their history.
Id is 90% graphics and 10% gameplay. Their next Quake needs to have by default....
1.) multiplayer
2.) teamfortress
3.) real coop mode
4.) single player with real missions not more deathmatch
So far UT2k4 has eaten Quake3 and Doom3 alive in terms of replay value. But for those who want eye candy, yeah they bought Doom3 anyways.
They are in a niche market, I don't know why people have expectations of them selling millions of their design.
