Wow this is very important timing to the economy. Over 50% of the U.S's real estate profits are derived from about 10 states, CA being the biggest one. There is already plenty of talk about the Housing Bubble.
Can someone name 1 CRPG where the final greatest most superior weapon in the game is NOT a sword. Exactly. CRPGs all have the same design concept. Different characters, missions, but the same shit.
That's why MMORPG will take over all of RPGs in the future. It gives you that variety flavor.
But there is a problem with the peak oil theory. You can only estimate with what you think you have. What if there was more oil reserves elsewhere in unexpected places that hasn't been tapped yet?
Communism usually ends after McDonald's are opened. When customers start ordering BigMacs with plastic meat, they know the government is up to something for allowing these businesses to exist.
It's going to be tough to get even 30%. I know at least 4 people who refuse to run firefox since it comes from a "smaller" organization like mozilla instead of M$. No coincidence that these people are all over 40 years of age. No, I ain't one of them.
Nowadays you have to get to the central hub www.gamerankings.com. They link you directly to the game in an organized format may I add.
The only thing SPECIAL about gamespy not matched anywhere else is http://archive.gamespy.com/stats/ which gives you almost realtime statistics on the most popular games online. If there is anything better, let me know.
As much of a huge transformers fan as I used to be... after buying their more current DVD season1-4, I noticed that majority of the episodes were really poorly written. They seemed great when you were a kid.
Autobots/Deceptacons were so well designed characters, they could survive for a decade with the most lame scripts. Autobot TRANSFORM!
As much as most people dispise M$, their enterprise support with MSDN registration is actually one of the better ones. I don't know about their low-level homeuser windows xp line etc.
Pretty sure there is at least 1 windows box running in a local hospital. Police stations don't use computers, no? Well, I guess these aren't important after all.
I have signed up to Rhapsody due to the advice of so many slashdotters. Well, not to mention my Napster trial sucked due to so many "buy-only" tracks.
I thought it would be crazy for me to keep the subscription service for more than 2 weeks. To my surprise, I am listening to new stuff every day for the 6 months. Subscription still going unbelievably strong. That's like $120 spent on music... I know I wouldn't buy 12 CDs in 1 year. My only worry is that I run out of stuff to listen to eventually.
Oh man, I too had a p133 with 64MB of Ram. Your PC could not doing anything when mp3s are playing. You can't even use notepad. I am proud to brag my first mp3 was downloaded in 1996.
I am sure Porsche stick shift is difficult to drive. Does that mean we should get rid of it because the widely available Toyota Camry's can also go 150 mph?
The automotive industry didn't revolve around people who can't drive. Why the hell should the computing industry revolve around moms and pops who can't use a computer in the first place?
On top of that I still think thin clients generally have miserable graphics performance. After all, you are always sending the display across the network.

Actually music itself is just like software.
Except MTV and RIAA prefer selling you music + an image.

LOL I think this article's a couple month too early. When all you have is a wall, you know it's a slow news day.
I guess this averages out with management's planned $10 million per executive along with the $1000 normal employee package.
Plan 9 From Outer Space is better than half the movies available in the theatres now.

It all comes down to the financial backings. Sony has an existing PS2 to backup the PSP and PS3. Xbox has M$ windows to backup xbox360.
Atari had nothing when Jaguar was coming out. The PSP can sustain itself in the market till Christmas 2005 with no new games, literally.
Oh yeah, then how come I can find Bush on Google.
I'll believe this position actually has power when he/she bring down any non-secure OS. Namely M$ windows.
SCO engineer: I compared the codes they are different.
SCO lawyer: You mean they are the same.
SCO engineer: No, I mean they are different.
SCO lawyer: You mean they are the same.
(Repeat the above 4000 times)
SCO engineer: Yes... they are the same master!
At least get the facts straight. It ain't Doritos
It's hi-cholesterol pepperoni pizza + meatball. Followed by Jolt and microwave twinkies.

I meant 12 months... sorry. I am drunk and it's late in the night.
