IMHO she did more for the 3D action genre than Mario too. She made 3D games ok for adults. That's something both Mario and Crash couldn't do in the N64/PS2 first generation rivalry.
I tried napster. What I didn't anticipate was that half of every album was marked "Buy only". What good is a streaming service if you still had to pay for songs individually. Rhapsody is superior compared to napster.
Someone else recommended this method a month ago on slashdot, and I signed up for rhapsody. Bought the software etc. To my surprise this is paying off HUGE. I was never a hard core sharer before. But this gain is tremendous, almost overwhelming.
If you know what you want, just record it via replay radio. If you don't know what you want... just leave the Internet radio on. You can record some 100 songs a day easy. Put it on your mp3 player, it's the best morning commute radio period!
The only way developers will win out of this is if they form a Union and protest to hell. I really fear that the video game industry will then take a major hit.
Yeah forget lawyers. That school brews mainly lawyers and politicians. That's why everyone wants to go there, you get the immediate connection with or without skills.
Personally I hate wasting time writing a function to do something only to find out 10 days later... the language already comes with a library that does the exact same thing. Experience do count there.
Ahhh.... not going to happen. PSP is the only handheld backed by a company with a major gaming console, PS2.
Nintendo's gameboy made a name for itself in the 90s because it had SNES backing at the time. I am almost certain this is the biggest deciding factor/advantage that N-Gage will never have.
Man, Akira was so overrated. It was dragged out long to hell. It would have been a superb movie if it was compressed, cutting out all the garbage not related to the plot.
I have always hated Makefiles. It was so much overhead above the regular programming itself.
Am I the only person in this entire forum that give M$ some credit to their visual studio suite? Editor, compiler, setup.exe maker, handle many languages all in one app. I would kill for a single complete suite like this for linux.
No, this PPU chip will revolutionize gaming if it really work like it is marketed. You play Doom for example, the background really isn't part of the game, just you and the aliens.
With this chip, the background CAN be part of the equation automatically. You can bring the whole level down, collapse bridges that doesn't need to be designed to be collapse-able. Seems too good to be true.
I am not really sure Sun, HP and IBM are really neutral with Linux. I'd say, they are just being "friends" since they have something to gain from the community.
More like SATA/IDE is the ONLY option for high capacity.
SCSI drives available to the general consumer don't go higher than 180GB. SATA and IDE are way beyond that mark. If someone has a link to a 400GB single SCSI drive, let me know.
There is nothing special about iTunes. People who praise it so HIGH have never used Rhapsody. And with Napster, their gui isn't that far behind. Only edge iTunes has is that it works on Apple at the moment.
I avoid using Google nowadays for all these monopolistic reasons. Someone on slashdot recommended www.vivisimo.com, which is now becoming www.clusty.com. That became my homepage, and I haven't looked back since.
I have a PS2 righty mouse, and a USB lefty mouse plugged in at all times. When you duel-wield, it's extremely productive, and you never get wrist pain. No joke.
The last thing I need is EA dictating what the rest of the video game industry's need. What EA doesn't tell you is that the $50 cazillion budget incorporates fees paid to the NFL for exclusivity player licenses. It also includes lawyer compensation expenses.
Gamers aren't fucking stupid. If only big name companies with a trillion dollar budget can make a PS3 game, this is the end of the industry as we know it.
To my understanding Openssh is still the same 2.0 protocol. Not like a new 4.0 protocol. Correct me if I am mistaken....
I'd put Lara Croft in for nominee before Crash.

Yeah it's funny how the people who are opposed to GTA and Mortal Kombat are the ones giving the games ridiculous publicity.
Part of the reason why Mortal Monday pulled in one of the biggest 1st week sales ever is because of all these parents complain on the news.

I forgot the word "Successful" after console.
GB-PVR looks more or less the same as Snapstream Media's software recorder except it supports less TV tuner cards.

Prison Transcript Leak....
Gamer: What are you in jail for?
Prisoner: I killed 20 people with a plastic fork. About you?
Gamer: I was passing out warez
Prisoner: What the fuck is that.
Gamer: It's aaa.... Computer Games
Prisoner: Why are you in the same prison with me?
Gamer: My lawyer and judge didn't like my warez collection.
Unfortunately that's not how the world works.
Music = Music degree, high level of instrumentation, great singer, voices etc.
Platinum Hit Music = Garbage someone put together cause they know the studio producer and kissed alot of ass.
Man, Akira was so overrated. It was dragged out long to hell. It would have been a superb movie if it was compressed, cutting out all the garbage not related to the plot.
At the moment I have no interest in buying a DS.
Though I do have an interest playing DS Rom on a PC if there is such a hack or emulator?

Yeah I find it hard to use on certain hours of the day due to the lag. I will say that if I used Wiki at 2am Est, it always run at sonic speed.

The problem is that most companies run at a speed that is on crack and unhealthy. Rarely do QA ever have to final say on release dates.
You know who gets all the power to give it the final yes and no? Sales folks.
