To my understanding Openssh is still the same 2.0 protocol. Not like a new 4.0 protocol. Correct me if I am mistaken....

I'd put Lara Croft in for nominee before Crash.

IMHO she did more for the 3D action genre than Mario too. She made 3D games ok for adults. That's something both Mario and Crash couldn't do in the N64/PS2 first generation rivalry.

  3. Re:Napster To Go = Legal P2P on Would You Pay 5 Cents For a Song? · · Score: 1

I tried napster. What I didn't anticipate was that half of every album was marked "Buy only". What good is a streaming service if you still had to pay for songs individually. Rhapsody is superior compared to napster.

  4. Re:club.mp3search.com on Would You Pay 5 Cents For a Song? · · Score: 1

Someone else recommended this method a month ago on slashdot, and I signed up for rhapsody. Bought the software etc. To my surprise this is paying off HUGE. I was never a hard core sharer before. But this gain is tremendous, almost overwhelming.

If you know what you want, just record it via replay radio. If you don't know what you want... just leave the Internet radio on. You can record some 100 songs a day easy. Put it on your mp3 player, it's the best morning commute radio period!

  5. Re:I want to... on Work Environment for Game Developers Must Change · · Score: 1

The only way developers will win out of this is if they form a Union and protest to hell. I really fear that the video game industry will then take a major hit.

Yeah it's funny how the people who are opposed to GTA and Mortal Kombat are the ones giving the games ridiculous publicity.

Part of the reason why Mortal Monday pulled in one of the biggest 1st week sales ever is because of all these parents complain on the news.

Ahhh.... not going to happen. PSP is the only handheld backed by a company with a major gaming console, PS2.

Nintendo's gameboy made a name for itself in the 90s because it had SNES backing at the time. I am almost certain this is the biggest deciding factor/advantage that N-Gage will never have.

No, this PPU chip will revolutionize gaming if it really work like it is marketed. You play Doom for example, the background really isn't part of the game, just you and the aliens.

With this chip, the background CAN be part of the equation automatically. You can bring the whole level down, collapse bridges that doesn't need to be designed to be collapse-able. Seems too good to be true.

Gamers aren't fucking stupid. If only big name companies with a trillion dollar budget can make a PS3 game, this is the end of the industry as we know it.
