    There is one article in pcworld that talks about how good Fios is but also how freakin long it takes to install. Most places are simply short in technicians.

    Comcast has by far the weakest service. The famous routine of requesting that you "unplug your modem" and it will magically repair itself after you replug it back in 5 minutes later. The most useless piece of garbage support.

    I have traveled to HK. They are pretty open about leaving porn magazines out in magazine stands uncovered from what I saw. They don't show much if anything on TV, but I wouldn't say they are "conservative". Go to some plaza where they sell video games and light porn posters are plastered all over the walls. This would never happen in any US malls.

    Please. If it's so great why does vmware need a new update every few months. Everytime any given vendor updates something, vmware needs to update something. Pple who praise it so high have not actually studied all the flaws. It can't be healthy to be switching the base vm all the time.

    The mission "supply lines" is the one that I have been stuck at for a long time and still can't past it. I know of 2 other people who gave up the game because of that mission. Personally I wanted to throw my game out the window.

    Is there a website for music-noob like me? I have a piano with some kind of spdif port (I think*) and want to record high quality music into my computer as wavs or mp3s. I am good with linux, but certainly not with any musical software/hardware. Where is there a complete noob tutorial for it?

    1. So I install ubuntu since it has good sound support?

    Speaking of san andreas I still haven't beat it. If you play without the flying cars, infinite machine guns and infinite cash that game is tough.

    I cannot imagine how expensive things would be if we pulled the plug on China. You're talking US economic collapse overnight with massive inflation. Our CEO needs to bank in couple $million paycheck, while everyone would have to piss $20 for a pack of gum.

    Don't blame the olympics. Blame the media for putting up the lamest events on tv. There are so many, like shooting and fencing that are rarely aired. I don't know about Canada but we (US) like to only show events where we have a good chance for gold.

    This is probably one of the few schools where grades or academic skills do matter. You can't accept people who can't hack it, but know how to party. Social skills take a back seat in engineering schools. We need to check the credential for every professor, staff member in every school.

    Most management folks overbook their "business" meetings on golf courses, and nobody can complain about it. Everytime there is an emergency, at least the managers should be on call with the technicians. It simply isn't fair on the IT workforce to have to do 24x7 because management doesn't want to hire a 2nd shift. Having One or two employees for the night is not going to ruin your finance.

    The FCC is on the same boat as the cable companies. You'll hear them say "We have a slow ass network", but nothing will ever be done about it. It is fact. This the like the 600th article on this subject.

    We are useless sheeps shelling out $40 a month for broadband. It will remain this way for the next few years until they jack our price to $70 a month. At that point the cable companies will send you an email for upgrading your speed from 380K upload to 500k upload.

    Dude nobody said US is completely clean. We never were 100% compliant with the constitution and other civil rights issues. Thats why I don't like it when we poke fun of other countries. It is a big propaganda cycle.
