    ... so how long until students catch on to what model of calculator will be used for the test. That's an easy swap as the instructor finishes passing out exams/calculators. The real fix, IMHO, is to design the problems so that no calculator is needed. Or have the student reduce calcs to their simplest form without running the numbers.

    I don't expect to get multi-player FPS HD blah blah blah on a 4" screen. I expect to get a little doo-dad game limited to what I can do with a touch screen, a couple buttons, and accelerometer input. Something to occupy a few minutes at a time here and there.

    I don't have an explanation for you. The liberal voice seems (to me) more prominent on these intretubes, so maybe it's the conservatives conceding a point. We heard all the crap about Dubya for the previous 2 terms, and Hope and Change (TM), Part 1 is half over. Still waiting for him to deliver on a lot of those promises...

    So really, how different are they? When self-preservation seems to be the primary focus, does it matter which way they lean?
