There is no "plague" of lawsuits, the way you are trying to present it.

You obviously have never watched any daytime television. Any given commercial break has a few ambulance chasers asking if you've been hit by an 18-wheeler, or hit by a drunk, or took Fen-fen, or got injured on the job. And then you said this with a straight face:

including marketing that was deliberately designed to appeal to children...

    What's the difference?

When you start busting people for thought crimes you start busting them for what you think they think and statutory rape is a crime of fact, i.e. it doesn't matter what they think, it matters what they did.

    Obviously you're not a golfer.

500 miles of directed movement per flight, which includes a "very generous" add'l 100 miles? Have you seen a flight profile? Contrary to what you may think, the shuttle does not launch straight up 200 miles, then make a hard turn to achieve 17500 mph orbital velocity. Nor does it come straight down - it actually begins deorbit around Australia.

But to even go into that vein to define commuting miles shows a significant ignorance of the hazards of life in orbit. Temperatures that swing hundreds of degrees every 90 minutes, no atmosphere so you better hope that cabin doesn't leak, flying debris that could literally put a hole right through you, no gas stations, no place to pull over to the side of the road...

Nice rant, but you layed out your bias too thick to be taken seriously.

Geologists mostly work for the oil business, which is where most of the money for the entire science comes from, their peers who review, their "next gig pool".

Great generalization - it adds nothing to your argument. And why do you deem a geologist as unqualified? Apparently knowledge and expertise are all about the piece of paper that has your name on it - you have to be better than a geologist or an Adjunct professor to know anything about this topic. Let's hope you never have to hire anyone - if you can only see as deep as someone's title, you're as bad a judge of aptitude as you are at forming an effective argument.
