One would think that a company with their resources would have a filtration system in place if the need for pure water is such a priority that the lack of it risks shutting down the whole operation.
Recently here in Wisconsin the contracted company that manages some of the Medicaid and other social programs printed out the Social Security numbers of all recipients of a large mailing on the OUTSIDE of the envelopes. OOPS!
I still have a bunch of copies stashed away somewhere that I found when cleaning out my dad's attic. Now I want to go find them! Good winter project for one of these weekends...

I loved Omni Magazine when I was a kid, but not sure if anything now comes quite close...maybe Popular Science or Wired, which might be a bit much unless your kids are precocious readers, but still wouldn't incorporate the full-spectrum of topics that Omni covered including really good sci-fi (not syfy!) and an amazing selection of original artwork.

There is so much that we, as "Adults," can learn from children. If I ever stop wanting to learn then it's time to pack it all up.
Yes, the genre was fantasy, but the whole point of the movie was to protest war and stop the warmongering brother from recruiting children by use of video games.
I wonder how much of our tax dollars went into that facility, looks pretty state-of-the-art. Anyone remember the movie "Toys," starring Robin Williams?
Any effort towards communications in this devestated area that has been disregarded by our supposed "government," (for which we all pay taxes) should be praised. Hats off, and may releif come sooner than yesterday.
