    What mechanisms are in place (perhaps a trick question as I'm expecting the answer is "none) to prevent the exchange from telling all 5 customers "sorry it took a while, we could only get you $1k for your coin" and pocketing the extra $22k?

    Entering your home without a warrant is a crime. Having a key does not make it magically legal for them to enter.

    There are only something like 10,000 key variations for a GM pickup. There are millions of them on the road. Does that make it legal for me to just get in any truck my key happens to fit in? That's the logic you just expressed. They existence of a key changes nothing. A warrant is still needed.

    Every market will crash. Event the best investment will go south if you wait long enough. There are no horse and buggy companies anymore. Eventually grows and then fades.

    The only thing that matters is getting in and out at the right time.

    Bitcoin is a trap. Its purpose if for "greed" to "invest"

    1) Why does making money always equal greed in some people's minds? What's wrong with striving for more than you have?

    2) You could say this about any investment. Even physical ones like rental property. The market could literally collapse overnight and make your properties worth less than you owe on them, and indeed it has happened numerous times in history.

    3) Rule #1 of investing. Don't invest money you can't afford to lose. It's always at risk in any investment. Risk is the nature of investing.

    Invest in your own network infrastructure, folks.

    Well now, this is the problem isn't it. It would take billions to start a company to compete with the likes of AT&T, Verizon, and Level 3. And they will use their power to stand right in front of you at the city council meetings explaining why you shouldn't be allowed to use their poles that we the citizens paid for.

    So yeah... let's get started building our own ISPs... It's going to be a long road.
