While it is important that the Admin completely understands what is going on.... theres no need to re-invent the wheel if someone else already went through the trouble of writing and testing it.
i'm no 'expert' on any brain-stuff, but I'd have to disagree on this. Sports games are incredibly successful, and none of this fear stuff applies here whatsoever. Madden, Tiger Woods, MLB, NBA, FIFA, Tony Hawk PS, and so on...
I'm a little more worried regarding the treaty we have where we guarantee Taiwan's independance, and China will be in a position to militarily accomplish their goals in Taiwan.... probably in a decade or so...
1. To use against whichever party nukes Israel. 2. To use against China in our upcoming conflict (I'm betting 2020) 3. To use against another enemy that really isn't in our scope at this point
Driver support is arguably what windows does best (even if its not windows doing it). Driver support is probably the single biggest problem Linux faces in its quest to become mainstream, IMHO.
He wants scanners that provide real-time protection, not just on-demand scanning.
And I've often wondered why Clam doesn't make a real-time protection piece. With all the other stuff they have I figure they're already 97% of the way there, with the AV signature databases and all. I'd use it, or at least give it a try.
well if Malaysia is blocking my IP, I'd just get a new IP. Proxy-ing all around the world is incredibly easy. and if the entire world is blocking the entire world then it wouldn't be much of an internet anyways. in that case i'd probably just go out and rob people instead of doing phishing scams. if I were the criminal sort.
Microsoft has had a few releases that were delayed, but really their track record of releasing product isn't terrible. Certainly nothing like Duke Nukem Forever.
Remember last year when the JFK reloaded game was released? There was plenty of hubub about that, and in that case the actual event happened 50 years ago.
Really. What if someone made a game about the holocaust (and you play for the 'bad' team)? It's more than a matter of just how much time has passed, I'd say...
I'd imagine there is some sort of exchange rate between OpenLogic Rewards points and US dollars, something that could easily be figured out by posting some for sale on Ebay.
Would it be worth it? Probably not. But they are being 'paid' in the form of goods.
What I meant to say is that I single-handedly invented the one, and headed the committee that developed the zero. In my spare time I enjoy getting multi-terabyte Oracle databases to run on my Atari 2600. The only real problem with that is it makes River Raid lag. And in my spare time at work I've been working on an interface that will let me plug by brain directly into a USB port. Shouldn't be difficult, and shortly thereafter I plan to also do firewire. There are no plans for bluetooth at this time.
Clearly you don't understand long term utilization and the risks when deploying a.net program.
Or, perhaps I don't deploy.NET. Perhaps I use it for data manipulation where the end result is data in a database, after which it really doesn't matter how I did it.
Care to fill me in on the 'long term utilization and the risks'? Or at least point me to a page describing this?
I've been under the impression that thieves steal cars to strip them for parts, as its impractical to re-sell a stolen car as a whole.
Are parts for luxury cars that specialized? I thought most parts were more or less universal these days. Does a H3 take a special spark plug or something?/20 minutes and a laptop?//more like 2 minutes, a brick and a screwdriver

I did last night ;)

I'm really not worried about China 'buying' us
I'm a little more worried regarding the treaty we have where we guarantee Taiwan's independance, and China will be in a position to militarily accomplish their goals in Taiwan.... probably in a decade or so...
3 reasons I can think of.
1. To use against whichever party nukes Israel.
2. To use against China in our upcoming conflict (I'm betting 2020)
3. To use against another enemy that really isn't in our scope at this point
I have fond memories of apple gaming, back in the day. Karateka, Wavy-Navy, Oregon Trail, even Number Munchers.
you don't want to carry 8.5lbs around?
its not that heavy. jeez. with the shoulder strap thats nothing.
even weirder, I just found out that windows has a command line.
Windows is notoriously bad for driver support

AVG by grisoft is where its at though.

would you like me to show you how incredibly easy it is to set up a webserver in pretty much any country on the planet?
a webserver that could then be used for phishing scams and stuff. it could easily report all the data back to me in my home country.
you're going to have to think a little harder about the problem.
Seems like he would be a perfect candidate

Virtual Court would be so much cooler
'Your Honor, I accuse the defendant of being a 1337 h4x0r, on the night of April 10th he pwn3d my b0x3n and then LOL'ed'
'Your Honor, I object on the grounds of O RLY'

0.0.0.0 myspace.com
0.0.0.0 www.myspace.com
if you're on windows, its c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
if you're on linux, you should already know how to do this
problem solved.
"No dear, I don't know why MySpace doesn't work anymore."
UNTIE!

its just so all the comic-book-guy type geeks can come in here and post 50 reasons why the story is wrong. it makes them feel better, somehow.
They've been doing it for the last 10 years.
