In layman's terms, that's a billion little gizmos that are gonna travel into your bloodstream and pump experimental genes and RNA molecules and so forth into your tumours. Now maybe you don't have any tumours. Well don't worry, if you sat on a folding chair in the lobby and weren't wearing lead underpants we took care of that too. - Cave Johnson Aperture Science CEO

But not because it "should" be required already, or that the study doesn't correlate.

It's stupid because this is just another way for politicians and businessmen to attach a fix to public education without actually having to do anything.

Let's get rid of Phys Ed (Budget Cuts), Music (Budget Cuts), Art (Budget Cuts), Any language but Spanish (Budget Cuts) But oh hell let's put them all in Algebra 2, then they'll be smart and productive!!!

Some kids are going to college (I don't count 2 year degrees or online schools here) and they need Alg.2, some kids are not, they don't need it. 90% of the population doesn't even do arithmetic every day in their regular jobs, they don't need Alg.2.

All you guys spouting how you took it, and "wow you didn't know that it wasn't required," well let's just say that you were oblivious to all the "regular" ed kids who took Consumer Math. I was in the higher math classes too, but that didn't mean that everyone took them.

If your boss asks you to break the law, the argument "I was just following orders!" doesn't hold up according to the authorities, especially when your boss decides to "cooperate with them" and throw you under the bus. Always question the motives and the legality of a system you design, and if your boss asks you to break the law, tell them that you won't do it, and if they persist, explain that you are going to contact authorities immediately.

    Try this exercise:

I guess it's because I forgot to take my Adderall-XR yesterday morning, but I fell asleep ealier than normal last night.

I can go into the whole thing here, but I think one of the most interesting things I noticed about this topic is the large number of responses.

ADD/ADHD is real, I have it, and I continue to deny that I have it. (Ain't nothing wrong with this brain.. yeah right.) Forgetfulness, time-insensitivity, lack of attention to detail, easily distractable, you name it, I have most of the symptoms. I am reading a medical book, I think the one by Halloran, and one of the most interesting things that they point out is that adults with it tend to have a funny fidget:

When sitting, they put their toes on the ground and bounce one of their legs up and down, a behaivior that I have had my entire life. The book said it is almost a 100% indicator of the syndrome.

The meds have helped tremendously, and having a coach has also helped me. We recently hired a guy who has it but isn't on meds yet. We discuss it, and I think he should try the Adderall-XR.

I was on the twice a day dosage, and it was harder to deal with, as I had two crashes a day. Now, I only come down at the end of the day, and it is easier.

If you take the self-assessment and score high, go talk to a professional, and see if you can come up with a program (behaivior modification/meds) that can help you. It helped me.

As I understand it, when you are taking pictures for use anywhere other than for personal use, you have to have the permission of the subject... IF these photos were taken of the "alleged" rioters and they were posted on the internet in any form (i.e. published) without the consent of the subjects.. then they could cry foul in the photos use in the investigation... NOW.. if the photographers in question were legitimate members of the press...and the photos were then used in those individuals "news" websites.. First Amendment rules would apply, right? I haven't slept in about 48 hours does it show?
