Star Wars and Lord of the Rings have become addictions for many people, and a startling number of these people are suffering mental disorders. Whether the disorders we caused by the movies or their directors is a question that can only be answered with further scientific study, but the goverment should start imposing laws on the consumption of these movies.
For instance setting a legal age to buy Lord of the Rings movies or merchandise. The addictive properties are to powerful to trust the discretion of our youth. Furthermore, all of these items should be taxed heavily to discourage use among those legally able to.
Sure New Line Cinema says these aren't addictive, but leaked internal memos show that they have been spiking their movies with 50% more fog effects and melodrama than would occur naturally.
Make your own decision as to the safety of these movies, but let's give our children a chance to mature before they are exposed to it.
Would software and hardware companies support OS X more consistantly if it were available on an x86 PC?
The only reason I use Windows is that it is the easiest OS to find games, paripherals, and other things that support it. If Linux or OS X had that, I could consider them.

Also Sony didn't tell developers that they would be responsible for the PSP's battery life until recently. Which means they are still changing specifications this late.
I would agree with you 1 year ago, but the fact that the DS was working long before the PSP suggests otherwise. Hell Sony didn't give anyone development hardware until 1 month ago.
Sony threw together a portable PS2 and thought it would work without a hitch. Even now they are still fighting with hardware issues as Nintendo prepares to ship. Sony might have forced Nintendo's hand, but I will say that the announcement at E3 2003 was probably the very beginning in the PSP's development, while I'm sure Nintendo had been thinking about the GBA's successor the day of the GBA's launch.
I think it is very important to note

That judging from the readiness of each system at E3, Nintendo did not create the DS in answer to the PSP. If anything Sony caught wind that Nintendo was developing the DS and decided to compete.
It seems if you are not acting in a company's interests at every moment, the company is out to punish you. And until we start holding corporations accountable for their actions, as a consumer AND a country, they will continue to throw tantrums when things don't go their way.
I played the Sims for one week. I tried to play it correctly for a while, but I got bored.
The last thing I did was build a house with everything necessary for a Sim to enjoy a full and rewarding life. Then I placed a moat around the entire house, and moved the sim outside. I wanted to see if the Sim could learn to swim.
He couldn't.
He died in a pool of his own urine.
I felt I could never get that level of satisfaction again with that game, and never played again.
If a Green Party canididate were to win the presidential election, he or she would most likely be isolated by the two major parties. This would lead to deadlock at best and impeachment at worst.
Any third party would need a foundation of support in the lower levels of government to function effectively in the higher levels.
Wouldn't working to elect Green Party local and state officials be more prudent than spending that money on a presidential campaign?
I beg to differ. It is much like the original Muppets. Henson created their bodies, stories, and personalities. Now that he is passed, Disney is piecing together past work to form new movies and other crap.
If you had heard the first two radio series and read the first two books know that they are not the same. They are two different media, and what works for one will not necessarily work for the other.
They might do an excellent job of adapting his book, but it will not be a new Adams work. So I refuse to give this the same credit.
Flying isn't a right, it's a privilege. There are no laws protecting your right to fly a domestic airline. You are upset because the government is telling the airlines that they need to ID passengers, but in all reality the airlines could have done that themselves, and there would be no legal basis to stop them.
Pilots and airlines need licenses to fly passengers, and I'm sure we can all agree this is a good thing. But this leaves a door open for the FAA. They do not need a law, because they can simply make IDed passengers a requirement for the license. Is there a law for each individual maintenance requirement? No. That is why the FAA is there. They can respond to changing equipment and circumstances without 2 years of legal debate in Congress.
If you want to fly, you have to play by the FAA'a rules, just as you have to play by the DOT's rules if you want to drive. It is not infringing on your rights, because you still can WALK without an ID. (The case where the man was arrested for failing to show ID standing outside his truck talking to his daughter IS a serious problem)
I will admit that this sounds like splitting hairs, but the gruesome fact is that if you want flight-worthy planes, you NEED a commission like the FAA. The same powers that give them the right to demand that the plane have wings that don't fall off, gives them the right to demand that passengers show ID.
YOU SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE TO FLY.
"But my employer demands that I fly."
Bite the bullet then. I don't agree with the Great Satan in the White House on many issues, but I don't see how you can fight this. Worry more about the FBI agents infiltrating protest groups. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say you have the right to fly.
You have to give an ID to own a phone, have a bank account, get electricity, and now fly a plane. How is this not a logical extension of the rest of our society?

Sure it would have been nicer to have at least DC quality, but I'm not complaining.
All I have heard is that it has better graphics than the N64 and less than the GameCube. Therefore it could be better graphics than the ps2. ^_^
How could they? ATI just finished developing the GPU.
You are saying that despite the fact that I have been keeping up in the PSP/DS saga and have valid links proving my point, you refuse to believe me.
That is your perogative.
Let me give you a link:

Now that people have patented genes. Someone maght as well patent urine, and have us pay royalities everytime we make it.

But companies in America not only hate their employees, but they are starting to hate their customers as well.
Remember Best Buy's Demon Customers?

They realized that it was counter productive to sell copy protected CDs and expensive mp3 and mini-disc players.
indeed!
We all know that it $349.99 anyway. $350 is a dirty, dirty LIE!
with an entire wall of his house devoted to copied VHS rentals. The FBI supposedly has the jurisdiction to throw him in jail too.
It hasn't happened. I think the FBI is too busy tracking terrorists, murders, and spies.
At least, I hope they are.

I kind of hope you are not, because that would be extra funny.
Some people (like, I don't know... SETI) periodically release reports like these in order to ensure funding and the existance of their jobs.
A bit like our President and his terror alerts.

I'm about as excited about new work in his name as I am about everything that has been done in Jim Henson's name since he died.
When a genius dies, his work lives on, but you will never resurrect him.

They could afford to PAY people for doing their dirty work.

BUDDHA BLESS AMERICA!
If he can. I really don't know if buddha can bless anything at all. But if he can, he should!
No company would use "intellectual property" to hinder competition and litigate against its own customers.
I mean really guys. You totally need to take some Prozac or something. This could never happen.
Companies love their employees, competitors, and their customers. They always try to do what is best for everyone!
And on the slim chance they didn't, our legal system is more than capable of putting any company in their respective place!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
