I'm in Texas and I agree that this was the mildest summer I can remember. I don't agree however that it means a harsh winter to follow the trend, what if what we are seeing is some kind of buffering effect from extreme heat as well as extreme cold?
Surely radiation detectors will sort it out within a day or two.
If this were a nuclear event it would be easily detectable by the storm of neutrinos it would have created. You can't test a nuke (on this planet anyway) without the rest of the world knowing.
Well, these cameras are not supposed to be looking into residential windows, so just make sure you are standing in front of one of those when you take a public leak.
Look, I can't even walk through the mall no more.
I just pull up, get out, and get all the hoes.
They never seen doors lift up on a car before.
Don't be mad at me dog, that's all I know;
that's how to show these fougaisies how it's supposed to go.
They must have a partnership... I ordered a monitor one afternoon and it was on my porch waiting for me the next afternoon. Considering how far I am from the nearest UPS hub, all I can figure is that they have a stock of parts onsite.
PC Gamer PC Magazine (It's mainly for n00bs, but I like reading Dvorak's column.) Wired (because I like knowing what Japanese schoolgirls do) Retro Gamer (although it's mainly for British retro gaming, which is suprisingly different a lot of the time than American retro gaming).
You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You may have to tough it up and take a path that is not enjoyable to you, as most of the rest of us normals have done, and save the soul-nourishing for the weekends and holidays.
I don't live without Windows because there are too many apps and games I like that simply requires it, but I've been making an effort over the past few years getting comfy with Linux and trying lots of distros (SuSE is where I seem to have landed), because I'm pretty sure that in The Future®, M$ is going to be doing a pretty good job of force-feeding it's users the content they are supposed to be eating, and keeping them away from the other stuff. I want to be able to have a non-DRM/Pushed-Content/Locked-In/Locked-Out type digital world, so that's why I keep myself Linux-able. I don't set up any computers for myself now without dual or triple-boot options.
...make a small lighter-than-air craft that's hefty enough to support a few solar cells, an electric motor with a propeller, the guts of a camera/cellphone/GPS unit, and a few wires and things, and rig it up so that you can call it up and direct it where to go and take pics or video. If you run it out of juice, just wait awhile for the cells to charge it back up while it drifts merrily along. If it loses cellphone coverage (which it shouldnt very often, being high in the sky), just wait for it to drift back into range of another tower. The biggest problem I have thought of is finding a way to contain the helium or hydrogen (oh the humanity!) without it leaking away, as it always seems to do even from those metal foil balloons.
Yeah, there's another thing that I'm never gonna do. And I'm aware that there's probably severe problems with the concept itself so go ahead and tell me why this would never work.
I had a flying Enterprise when I was 6. It was attached to a center swivel base by a plastic arm and flew in a circle, but could liftoff and land at any point, and you controlled the thing with a wired handset. It had a fan mounted under the dish section of the ship which provided lift. As I remember it came with a little plastic guy that you could pick up and, well, set back down via a hook under the Enterprise.
Meh. Easier to simply walk without rhythm.

...use spy ware? Huh?
Why not just call them "600 white guys"?
you can always get top dollar for a Frank Zappa CD.
But alas, none of my Zappa CD's are or will be for sale. Could I interest you in a fine King Diamond collection?
No no no. What you do is rent a big old house, buy several kegs of beer, and have parties every weekend. You charge $5 for a Solo cup.
And invest in a stripper pole. Trust me.

...that the compression on so many of their channels will go away, so that they stop looking like internet-quality .avi's?
Cuz like, I'm sick of that.
Actually, Sarin is a liquid that vaporizes at room temperature. So it is a liquid, and CAN be easily transported in drums.
I'm pretty sure that Peter Criss, Neil Peart, and Shelia E are not terrorists, so what's the big deal?
The only way out of this is a non-glamarous punishment, like jail time. This is tried and true, and has shown to be resistant to martardom.
No, you'll just have Bono recording songs about them then.
Bono is big with the kids, you know.
Liberals are not un-patriotic... they are just wrong ;)

...would such a game not already carry a Mature rating and hence be illegal for the kids to buy anyway?
Do you want it to be possible for your boss to find out that you subscribe to an atheist news letter of he's a hardcore christian?
I'm trying to imagine what an athiest newsletter might have to say every month...
"Supreme Being: Still Made Up" or something like that?

Or wormholes.

One word: Dreamcast.
"do what you love, and the money will come."
So what's the starting salary for playing with yourself to pr0n?

I guess I've been lucky, the only problem I've had is getting reception
Err, if that's a problem, why not just turn the infernal thing off?

Agreed: I just started out with this blogging thing about a week ago, here is the result so far using Blosxom.
