Someone is trying to get their Pagerank up by submitting the story with a name of "Security Test" and linking to their shoddy website. The site has only a few links, no content, and it says the page is for sale. Will slashdot ever get their shit together and stop posting submissions with blatent pagerank-whoring links like this?
Normally, I am a supporter of not butchering the english language. However, the word 'probably' has always bugged me. Where does it get off using as many of the letter 'b' as it does?
Languages evolve over time. It just happens. Personally, I support the evolution of 'probably' into 'prolly'. 'Prolly' at least looks like it could be an actual word. 'Ur' and 'ppl', on the other hand, disgust me and should be reviled.
There is a beta groupwise 6.5 linux client out that I have installed and tested. It's pretty damn decent imo. There is also a groupwise 7 client for linux that I have not tried.
It's not as cut and dry as the story title and summary implies.
Lexmark discounts certain cartridges with the understanding that the user will return the spent cartridges to Lexmark. Lexmark recycles the cartridges and sells them again. Lexmark got their panties in a bunch because another company was taking their prebated cartridges and recycling them, causing Lexmark to lose money. Lexmark isn't being quite as evil as they are made out to be, in this case.
Clock for clock (not price/performance mind you) all of the benchmarks I've seen have the newer Pentium Ms beating the ever-loving-crap out of P4 EEs AND Athlon 64s. I'm too lazy to look up any supporting links.
You know, there are people who have knee and joint issues that this thing would be an absolute boon too. Stairs can also be killer on many people with back problems.

Regarding the Wii...it really is just a beefed up version of the Gamecube with a wacky controller tacked on. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii#Technical_specifications
Which no one knew about before hand - not the case with warden.
Built in half gig flash storage. Expandable with SD cards.
Yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, bork bork bork!
Do not follow the links! It's a Hoax and my anti-virus went crazy when I clicked the links!
OMG, the internets are a great resource for bomb-making, and finding whores, and pirating software and music and movies.
Whats your point? Oldversion.com is a tool with a very legitimate use. Just like anything else, it has the potential to be used in nefarious ways.
BTW, Congratulations on no longer being a criminal.
It is my experience that XP boots quicker and (with candy theme turned off) is more responsive then win2k.
How the fuck did this get modded up?

Or is slashdot promoting piracy? It would be nice to see some info in the summary.

That being said, Lexmark makes my pants sad.
Yeah seriously. Everyone knows it's 'intarweb'.

Perhaps they were trying to teach the Traitorous dogs a lesson for colaborating with the infidels?

And yet people turn around and bitch when movies are remade...curious, isn't it?
And me without my hot grits!
But seriously, how is this a good thing?
What a nice anecdote.
All of my d-link products - 2 AP/bridges, 1 AP, 1 AP/Router/Printserver, and 4 wireless network cards - have worked from day 1 without a hitch.
Consider your anecdote negated.
They also clam that their antivirus software (part of their suite) is ICSA certified. Funny, I don't see their product on ICSA's certification list
CowbyNeal posted it Jan 7th here.
but I think this might be a dupe of this.
