"The program does not distinguish between legal and illegal copies, as it is up to the user to determine whether the files found by the program have been acquired legally, or whether the material should be deleted."
Sri Lankan officials imposed a curfew as night fell, and tourists were being evacuated from the eastern coasts to the capital, Colombo, unaffected on the west coast.
A copy of the notice sent to customers would be nice. As of right now all we have is this guy's word that VU is screwing retailers/gamers. Not that I don't beleive it's possible, but the substance in this story is sorely lacking.
I'm not a die-hard gamer, but I play the latest RTS games with regularity and go on the occasional FPS binge. I have a Dell 2001FP 20" 16ms( or was it 20?) response time LCD. Doesn't bother me any while gameing and I don't notice any tearing or screen door effects. I think they can be had for about 620$ shipped.
Incdiently, I had the same problem pop up after 2 years of DSL service. Nothing changed inside or outside the house to my knowledge when the issue started. A verizon tech I knew was dispatched to attempt to fix the issue. After scratching his head for a few hours, he ran a home run from my tele box to the modem, and the issue went away. Never figured out why the line quality in the house spontaneously dropped after 2 years of no issues.
Huge amounts of cache will let it burst fast enough to sometimes take advantage of it. There are 16mb cache sata drives on the market now. It's only a matter of time until drives come with a gig of cache.
"it won't depart from Via's emphasis on low cost, small size and modest power consumption"
Just like all of Via's current line, they are meant for low cost low power systems. In combination with Via's SFF motherboards they are great for car PCs, media center PCs and firewall/router PCs. They are not meant to be high end workstations, so stop treating them as though they are. Just like any other product, they have their niche.

It's a pentium 4. You'd be better of with a P3 of the same speed though, since it would perform better.
You can get a 20" dell 2100FP that has 4 inputs with one button switching between them(1 DVI, 1 VGA, 1 s-video and 1 composite) AND it supports PIP. Seems like a better price/performance ratio to me. Though that thing that Julio is pimping is widescreen, still doesnt seem worth it.
If Ford decided to issue recall notices for faulty brakes only to people who paid for extended warranty, that won't fly. That would be a horrible thing to do.
Mars Attacks was a comedy, pure and simple. It was a spoof of the old Sci-Fi movies. Perhaps you should pull your head out of your ass and you would see that.
The only problem with places like Dell and HP/Compaq, is that they DO make computers. That is to say, they have custom made motherboards that you are never going to find good documentation on. Several Compaqs here at my workplace say something along the lines of "designed by compaq egineering group X" silkscreened on the motherboards and they sure as hell don't look like any board I could purchase online.
No offense meant, but perhaps you are doing something wrong? Maybe a cheap PSU?

The public has been playing the beta for the better of the year. Granted, the open beta only started 6 or 8 months ago.

Ah-hah, the Troll shows his teeth.
Could you please explain how steam is infringing on my privacy?

What the hell are you talking about?
The judge ruled the man didn't break any laws. It's not wire-tapping for the FBI, and it's not wire-tapping for civilians.

Close, but wrong. Failure to identify yourself can be grounds for arrest.

They didn't actually have to reboot the OS. It was a legacy peice of software running on the OS that needed to be restarted.
It's already buried sitting beneath sseveral feet of clay on the bottom. They only detected it because of the increased radiation in the area.

And that website is as non-existant as the console.
