    I agree 100%.
    I maintain a website where non-technical people (who aren't inclined to learn the basics of HTML) have to be able to post news.
    Producing standard-compliant code was a big deal for me when choosing WP.
    It's also very easy to setup.

    I also like that it isnt a phpnuke-clone. :)

    Well, how about the MyHD player? along with the many others that are based on the same chip?

    The compressed mpeg2 stream is saves as-is. the stream is somewhere along the lines of 15-20mbit.

    Our current pcs can (and do) handle this perfectly fine.

    create images of the dvds, then load them up in a virtual drive such as daemon tools?

    I had never heard of this album before this news story, but now that EMI has brought it to my attention, I downloaded it.

    I kinda like it, and I'll probably end up making a few of my buddys listen to it.

    it is under a starightfoward license.
    their free version (as in cost) is closed, but free (as in cost).
    their commercial version is closed, but it will cost you.

    the only difference is that the free version places a watermark on the finished product.

    noone's "pussyfooting around the whole oss issue". this clearly has nothing to do with open source software.

    Hey, BBSes are still around, though they are only kept around for nostalgia nowadays...

    there are a lot of telnet boards such as east1999.acid.org and blackthursday.net

    There are stil plenty of groups thta draw ascii and ansi too...

    Grim Fandango is my favorite game of all time.
    It's sorta bittersweet to see it make the list.

    One major oversight on this list was Sanitarium for PC.

    Overall though, I have enjoyed playing at least 15 of these games, and I'll be sure to check the others if I ever see them in stores.

    my aunt has been checking windowsupdate every monday since the blaster worm came out.

    For someone who got her first computer a little over a year ago, this is a major step foward.

    All caused by one little virus, too.

    So yes, some people /do/ learn from infection.
