Before the iPhone, there really weren't any consumer devices that use the TRRS jack. Nowadays, almost every smartphone supports that. It's only *STANDARD* because Apple pretty much made the adoption of it standard.
I worked at an office that handled medical insurance claims, and we had fax machines. We would routinely exchange information with customers via fax. We upgraded to a fax server from our physical fax machines, and at the same time, to a voip solution. The fax trail went something like this:
Paper (analog) to PDF (digital) via a scanner sent to user's workstation.
PDF (digital) to fax server which places a FAX phone call using an analog audio modem signal (PSK).
VOIP inherently converts the analog signal to Digital, until it reaches the POTS, where it is converted back to analog.
Analog signal reaches the destination fax machine, where it is printed digitally.
With so many D/A and A/D conversions, we regularly had failed fax attempts due to line noise, quantization noise, etc.... It's amazing even a single fax ever got through. Many times, the customers just gave up.
That might explain SMTP email being blocked as spam, but how do you account for the fact that the URL is not able to be posted on Facebook? SMTP has nothing to do with HTTP.
I think this is a good move. Gamestop can certainly use the power that thinkgeek has. Last year I redeemed some points that I earned from Gamestop to purchase something from their rewards store. Most of the things there are stupid Nintendo lanyards or bracelets - completely useless and hardly noteworthy. I opted for a Skyrim Daedric sword letter opener. It was cool, but badly made. If they offered a coupon for something in thinkgeek's catalog, I would have been much happier.
I also own a Verizon G2, still on KitKat. Are you using the stock Lollipop? Can you give actual numbers on the battery lifetime?
Although Cyanogenmod doesn't seem to have support for the G2, there is a third-party ROM that a lot of users seem to enjoy. I haven't switched to it because of the minor installation problems that many have noted. I'm not as skilled as they are in fixing those types of problems, and I would prefer to wait for a sanctioned 5.1 or better kernel.
The best we're going to get is when you find out that your favorite song is being used in a car commercial. Most people will just hum along with it. A small percentage will be annoyed at this tragedy. Only a very few wackos will actually protest or march because of it.
...and that's the point! If it takes longer than 4 years to hack, it's effectively secure for a US Presidential election. By then, the elected official's term will be up, and there will be another election (with different encryption keys) so you will have to start over.
Also, when was the last time an Art class teacher accepted a text as a valid art project? Math is important, but kids rarely use it to "express themselves". What class lets kids express themselves more than Art class?
That was a phrase that also stood out to me. Why does Microsoft get to determine the lifetime of *MY* hardware? Don't they realize that I can increase the useful lifetime of my PC by upgrading the CPU? (in some cases)

What really SHOULD be evil is Gorf! Those Gorfians want to kill us all!
Are you pretending to have Tourette's Syndrome?
This is the HAL-9000 approach.
"I would recommend that we put the unit back in operation and let it fail. It should then be a simple matter to track down the cause."
Something's not right here....
"Daddy! Daddy! Help!" isn't the response that you would expect from a Goth child. It would be more like "Whatever. We're all doomed anyway...."

What is the new attack like, in terms of Muppets?
According to the previous posts, it already has made a lot of people sick....
No, more like Face/Off.

Nerds would just torrent it....
I don't want to live in the same world that you do... The one where people don't know how to use their computers, so instead they SUE other companies!

Wait until after your first oil change.
I'm going to need a smaller soldering iron.
Yeah, that won't work the way that you hope in schools....
"My pot roast! Noooooooo!"

It doesn't really matter if you got his email address right or not. Do you think he actually reads emails himself from random internet identities?
Screw that! I sit in the back of the bus because that's where all the cool kids are!

Which P-38 is that? The aircraft, or the can-opener?
