Look at the gun that Gene Simmon's character fires 1:29.
The bullets were programmed to home into a person's heat signature.
The ubiquitous networks and surveillance depicted in the movie are fully realized.
Now the bullet will be also.
It has a ton of stamps/brushes and should be easy for any 4 year old to work. You can customize what options are available, and lock it down as much as you want.
When assembly is complete with STS-134 and the addition of the AMS experiment, the validity of the question will be equivalent to asking if the Alaska purchase was worth it.
Yes, the Russians never publically admit their hardware could be at fault until all other explanation have been exhausted. At first it's always the stupid Americans. Yes, same thing happens in the computer world (except the vendors almost never admit it).
YES! YES! They freak out about every little thing. I mean NO! NO! They are careless imcompetant idiots.
Oh wait, I forgot; this is Slashdot where the posters slam everything, especially the things the things that they are the most ignorant about. That is what makes Slashdot the "special place"....
1) Don't return to you vehicle while pumping gas, or this could happen to you. At least she thought to release the pump before pulling out the nozzle. Notice that she is wearing long sleeves, temperature is likely low and humidity would be the same. Discharge yourself to the car and pump before reaching for the gas pump nozzle (it is surrounded by gas vapors).
2) Don't pull out the nozzle, or this could happen to you. Leave it in so this will happen.
3) Always fill gas cans on the ground. Metal cans provide a better path to ground helping preventing accumulation of static charge.
Indeed Ted Turner, Steve Jobs, Dean Kamen, Donald Trump, Bill Gates(hate him or love him)all got where they are by sitting on their behind while someone else did all the work. Oh, the inhumanity!!!
>Life's real stories of youngsters abandoned shows something quite different. In the Polish ghettos, Nazi camps, streets of Rio and of >Kinshasa... children form groups and look after each other.
Watch some documentaries of the street kids of Rio and you do see that they band together, but the strong in the group abuse and use the weak (younger) members... Naked cruelty that breaks the heart.
All hospital staff should sanitize their hands using soap or gel before and after contact with patients. Multiple studies have shown that hospital staff practice poor hygiene, putting themselves and us all at risk.
Don't forget that the $2 billion price tag for the B-2 bomber includes parts and maintenance for a specified time span. The cost comparison to the carrier is apples-to-oranges.
Who bought who? I've never heard of any these companies, save Altavista. Wonder where they get the money....

They have tested an EVA helper like you describe, it is called Sprint. It flew on STS-87, ironically this was a Columbia mission and also the only other flight for Kalpana Chawla.
I don't know why but ever since they (San Francisco) have considered the Segway, I've gotten the impression that they are just being snotty. Have no good reason for it, just a gut reaction....
Last week I stayed at the Comfort Suites in LaPorte TX. They had *FREE* hi-speed internet, Jetport provided by NetCentric. I imagine it costs the hotel no more each day than the free breakfast (that was good too).
I dislike being away from my family on trips, family pc-to-pc video makes it better.
I stayed at the Comfort Suites in LaPorte TX last week. They also had *FREE* hi-speed internet, JetPort provided by NetCentric. This was the reason I booked with them. I miss my family when I travel, but a family video conference makes it easier to be away from home. Free high-speed connection will always get my business when I travel, I'm sure it does not cost more each day than the free breakfast (and that was pretty good too).

Last I checked it was the FCC that was responsible for the allocation of spectrum in the United States and territories. They are the arbitrator of interference issues.
In short: I use WiFi, if there is a problem then the FCC, not me, is to blame.
Todays launch was for a French commercial satellite, Eutelsat. The shuttle is banned from commercial satellite launches. See here. Minor payloads, such as experiments, routinely fly in the Shuttle and also the International Space Station.
No, he did not. He intended to hang a lemon from the training simulator at the Cape as a display of his dis-satisfaction that North American Aviation was unable to keep it's behaviour syncronized with the JSC simulator. This is a common error. Check your facts!
Agreed, because We Can't Wait to steamroll congress and the american people for who ever gives us the most re-election money.

Possibly the most intelligent post I have ever read on Slashdot.
