Okay, some people recycle their PC cases. That's not the big thing worry about. The chip fabrication process alone produces huge amounts of polution in itself. Since companies like Intel and NS buy off EPA officials and use loopholes like there's no tomorrow, it's no wonder why communities are screwed, many of which are near Silicon Valley. I don't remember the numbers off my head, the chip fab process produces a huge amount of toxic waste. Now add the rest of the parts of a computer together and you can estimate just how much damage building a PC involves.
Disney is probably the biggest pirate in this whole ordeal. A couple of months back the family of the author of the Winnie the Pooh books has sued Disney for giving significantly lower earnings with the Pooh characters.
Those without sin may cast the first stone. Eisner chooses a sub-machine gun, which isn't technically a stone.
Global warming is a big problem, but what most people don't know is that only a fraction of it can be attributed to the industrial revolution. A good percentage can be caused by natural circumstances, such as volcanoes and cow farts.
And Japan doesn't need to use their supercomputers for weapons simulation, they already have Godzilla, Robotech, and the Power Rangers.
Here's the details on that Arcade PC:
21inch SVGA Monitor
Super Sound System w/ Sub Woofer
600Mhz Pentium based Computer System
Pull out keyboard drawer
Working Coin Doors
Full Size (HotRod) Control panel w/ Trackball
Marquee Light
Locks and Keys
Levelers
I think I'd rather spend my money on a better system and better components. The only thing that's quite attractive is the cabinet. Other than that, you'd probably get ripped off buying this.
The world's greatest hackers all communicate through IRC because it's epitome of stability.
Crap articles like these just make me cringe since only a fraction of the IRC users actually "trade" SS#'s, CC's, and steal identities. If the author would write another article on telephones, I bet he'd discover that telephones are havens for stalkers, phone sex operators, psychics, and telemarketers.
I suspect some writer had a quota to fill and chose to blow something out of proportion.
I totally agree. Some people totally suffer as a result of not having cutting edge software. There's freeware, open sourced products out there, but that just isn't enough. People are dying my friends. They really need the latest copies of Photoshop and Premiere. Do you really want children to die because of fatcat companies? Besides, everyone steals. If you notice, everyone who's won something at Sundance and Cannes has used stolen cameras and editing equipment.
How dare you people criticize the little guys
like Intel. Larger non-profit (profit-making)
business like YIF have forced feeble organizations
like Intel into submission. Most people don't know that YIF distributes products such as the Yoga Pentium and the Yoga Celeron.
Give peace a chance!
I know exactly how you feel. Personally, I'd prefer to shop at places like Dell and Amazon for the good deals and reputation. If I want to make a big purchase online, i usually go around as many stores as possible to estimate a reasonable price, then look for specials and any other deals. I've seen a lot of pretty awesome deals come from Dell's online store. For instance, a while back they had the HP 568's for over $100 off Dell's listed price, which was also $20 under the retail price listed at most other stores. If you really want a good deal, you're most likely to find it if you wait and look around.

If a company like this is willing to hide information regarding PCB's and their effects, then what would prevent them from doing the same thing with GM?

when you say "Bania" outloud, it kinda sound similar to baño except for the last letter. Coincidence? I think not.

Anonymous Coward's got a point. All programmers ever do is steal code from each other, call it open source, and look at porn all day long.
Can't be an April Fools joke. I already bought 20 shares this morning from a friend.

must have been pleather
What about Star Wars? A whole planet was decimated. Anyone remember that asinine argument brought up sometime last year?
Why do they have a naked guy bending backwards on top of another naked guy? Am I the only one weirded out by the company's website?
Congratulations, it seems as if you have posted the most ignorant, obnoxious, and paranoid post I have ever read.
I agree, if I didn't know what all the parts were
intended for, I'd some of it could be used to make something dangerous.
