Anyone notice that it looks like the picture was made in 3D Studio and Photoshop? Don't trust this, there's better stuff out there considering what their specs are.
First off, the campus police doesn't know squat about IT, so don't even think about asking them. Secondly, it depends on which IT department you call. Did you call the OAC, NACS, or whatever department the user came from. It's pretty easy to find out which department a user comes from. If you actually spent the time to track the "hacker", you probably would have gotten further.
I remember my laughing at my friends whose up/downstreams were limited within the campus housings. I was able to get good speeds when I connected through their wireless or student DHCP connections.
I think an EE or CE degree would be sufficient. Focusing on signals processing itself and such might be sufficient. There's too many standards to cover, so I guess a foundation might be nicer.
So is this the smart thing to do? It seems as if more CD space would be needed for this added software and encryption. What if a CD needed all 80 minutes for the album? If you have to install this "smart card" reader in order to play a stupid CD, I think this would just deter customers from buying it and just let them download them instead.
Well, Nokia does make a phone for Verizon, which is CDMA. The disposable phone is using a Philips (Qualcomm based) chip for the phone. The Nokia chip was for demonstration only.
Me play Chinese, Me play joke, Me create an OS based off of Windows 98 and Microsoft can do nothing about it because they have no jurisdiction in our country and we have nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and can destroy their headquarters in a second.
Me play Chinese. Me play joke. Me create a new OS based off of Windows 98 and Microsoft can't do anything because they have no jurisdiction in our country and we're not scared because we have nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and can destroy Seattle in a second.
This kind of product might appeal to college campus dwellers who can use the notebook to move from apartment to apartment (most places have limited leases). If the notebook is a person's main computer, then they'd want to have everything in it that would satisfy their wants and needs.
Why not just buy a $9.00 keyboard and not type for over 30 minutes? The major cause for carpal tunnel syndrome is repetitive typing. If most people took small breaks in between some periods of typing, then this wouldn't such an issue. One's body position can also be a factor. If everyone took these easy steps then they wouldn't have to pay so much for these so-called cures.
Well let's see. The cost of providing downloadable movies with decent quality (anything below 1.5Mbps looks like trash) is probably more than the cost of showing them in theatres or on DVD. Isn't bandwidth more expensive than getting $0.50 DVD's out in the public.
What's an SD port worth when it doesn't fully support the SD specs? If they're already announcing that the treo 90 won't suppport SD I/O cards, then I think they're already shooting themselves in the feet. Even if they release some driver in the future that would enable I/O cards, this kind of publicity can turn off consumers.
Well...the SWF format is open sourced, right? People shouldn't worry since Flash animations won't be destroyed anytime soon. I think this is a sly attempt by Adobe to get the SVG format to replace SWF.
you have to realize that this is the same group that sued ringtone providers for mobile phones based on the fact that people can't distinguish an artist's actual song with similar sounding beeps and whistles.
BTW, why support a company that sells software that should be freeware. There are obviously better and more sophisticated programs that are open sourced.
Thank you 321? Why would you thank them? This sort of company kills other legitimate companies chances at creating fair products that don't violate the DMCA. This software has the sole intention of copying a dvd, which can be used for good, but obviously can be used for bad purposes. This product works by bypassing the DVD's security then copies it's contents onto a HD. If it was a DVD movie viewer for Linux, then it would be okay. The idea of backing up a movie is a BS mentality instilled in most casual pirates. The DMCA is a crockery of justice in cases, such as Google's, where some lame company or institution wants to exploit its copyright. Not all battles fought are legitimate and I think people should take the time to see that.
Who doesn't want to show her their hard drives
and give her some good RAM.
Bite me if it's cliche, but you know you're thinking this.

would you prefer the homosexual Batman from the 60's TV show? That Batman had the talent to state the obvious and was pretty stupid.
because people would cheat.

now if somebody could build a fufme, i'd have the complete package
I have a cheapo GE dvd player that does cdr/rw, and has an mp3 player. It's also over a year old.

they tried BIMBO, but that just didn't sit well with the rest of the company.

people like Jon Katz turn Slashdot into a blog

I know why it's weird, when i tried setting up the resolution, it had "High Quality Porn" as a setting
I'd rather have dead and injured stuntmen because my entertainment is that damn important.
