    According to the article, the dinos were cooked by super-heated air. That would mean they were broiled, not fried :)

    What does Flash mobs have anything to do with the gang violence article? The gangs spoken of in the article, are not "flash mobs", but simply street gangs who use the internet.

    I think the poster used Jeff Goldblum's character, David Levinson logic, from Independence Day

    True statement. However this does not happen to be the case today. Both cards do perform fairly equally, but there is an important difference between them that some readers are forgetting about. The nvidia card requires two free molex connections. In addition, the video card requires a 480watt power supply. On top of that, nvidia wants each molex connection to be on it's own dedicate line from the PSU. In otherwords, no other device may be on those main lines. That's a pretty fancy PSU you are going to have to purchase to use this card.

    And of a minor note, the nvidia card takes up two slots of your motherboard because of it's cooling solution. The ATI card only needs 1. As well, as it only needs 1 molex connection.

    So yes, they do perform rather equally, however they are not indentical to each other.

    Was the naked part necessary? I don't know about you, but it would matter to me if there were loose tigers near by, regardless if I was naked or not :)

    Well... not necessarly. What was conducted was a bandwidth throughput test. I would be interested to learn what was the latency between the two machines used for the test.

    Some applications, such as computer games, low latency is more important than bandwidth.

    Why would a lower gravity have these effects on the human body, does anyone here know why? Does this mean a full-fledge civilization on Mars would not be possible, because of the lower gravity?

    I'm sure this will not sink in and invetiably the next /. chess news article will have replies about how we as humans can not accept computers been "smarter" than us.

    This however is an incorrect line of thinking. Computers are dumb as a rock. They do know perform tasks outside of those that they were programmed for. They are not self aware. They are not intuitive. They are not conscious. They are machines, that mechanically execute the orders you feed it.

    These man vs machine competitions only prove that it is us, the humans, who are getting better at developing chess algorithms.
