I recently noticed that they are now selling threaded fasteners, including machine screws. I don't understand their approach. I guess someone in their marketing department decided they could sell weird stuff. Even if amazon is cheaper, I will probably still use McMaster-Carr for this type of thing as their selection/search system is *much* more refined.
"we are trying to unify both the CAD design and analysis so that they are carried out concurrently."
I'm not sure how this is going to help me. When I design a mechanical part, necessary dimensions and geometries are the very first things that I consider. After that, *if* FEanalysis is necessary, it's no big deal to just re-do the mesh and start over if I change part of the design. It only takes a few seconds on a p4 3.2ghz machine. My point is that I *rarely* need to use FEA software... if you have a fundamental understanding of the strength of materials and some common sense, then most design decisions are easily made. But then, I'm only a machine/tool designer/programmer/controls engineer/gopher... not a product designer, so I am not the expert here.
Show me some fatigue simulation software (it may exist) and I'll be impressed. In fact, I may even go ahead to make the purchase order.
At my company we are making a move to MySQL in order to accomplish what SAP cannot do for our assembly lines. This involves keeping track of incoming and outgoing material. SAP will still keep track of what happens with the finished goods, and received parts. Why we keep SAP probably has something to do with the corporate jacuzzi.
I don't know how Netflix could fear on-demand movie downloads. First off, they're already competing with bittorrent based download sites. Secondly, I would much rather pay $20 and get movies delivered to me through the mail than pay $20 (+Cost of bandwidth usage). Besides, there's still a big part of the market that does not have fast internet connections and would rather not watch/figure out how to watch movies on their (slow/adware/spyware filled) computers.

I don't even know what it's really called, but I think you'll know what I'm talking about. If MSN manages to do this, then I may just have to do the unthinkable.
Nevermind, I don't know what I was thinking. You can say anything is at STP whether its inside or outside the system. Original poster was a smart ass rightly so.
..."couldn't they just do another island-hoping"
Religion probably kept them on that island. It was probably the fear of the bad color and imaginary monsters.

Pete and repeat sat on a fence, Pete fell off and who was left? http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/11/23/233620 3&tid=217&tid=99
Even 'corporate' bands like the smashing pumpkins did this back in 2000 (or was it 2001?) with their last album.
Maybe it's not a repeat, but I've known about this for several days (almost a week). Maybe I saw it on Boing Boing or even Google News.
Pete and repeat sat on a fence.
Pete fell off and who was left?
...in soviet russia....
Touché!
Michael Jackson "Bad" or as in "not quite that bad!"?
Food crumbs in the keyboard.
This happened in the movie Ghostbusters 2.
The Inuit people have been doing this for thousands of years. Making buildings out of water, that is.

So what was going on with mars 195,000 Years Ago?
Oh great, that's my birthday. Thanks Dr. Idiot.

Maybe AC is making a point. Google allows you to find *anything*. Will MSN let you find this?
...in Canada iTunes is only for old people.

No, Standard Temperature and Pressure is what he means. When you say STP it refers to the surroundings, not the system.
I finally got my 250Mb of storage from hotmail today. Too bad I get all my mail at gmail now.
Protowall wouldn't let me read the article. Hm.
Not Godzilla... didn't you hear? It's just "Zilla" now.
