I think the journalist has every right to call Cheney on his salary. This is something he should have considered before he took compensation in the way that he has. Its just a side effect of his tax evasion scheme. A decision he should live with.
He should have cut his ties and acccepted a lump sum considering his new job and all.
I always get a kick out of people who decry the end has already come. You'd like me to believe that wouldn't you? I should quit. That way those that want to take from us, don't even have to fight. You've been reading Sun Tzu haven't you?
Yep, and we know how well ATi's TrueForm(TM) works even when it has 3D data.
Automatically changing 1 thing to another without information is impossible. You must know enough about it (have enough prior information) to make resonable assumptions about how it should look. I suspect this technology is about 30 years away. Right along side face recognition.
You don't have to be slow to be bloatware, just "bloated."
I for one prefer the seperation of browser from email client from news reader.
When I can get fireThing to work, i will be switching. For me, mozilla (on RH) since 1.2 has been buggy. I always leave it open to pull down my email 24-7. But it always simply stopps getting my mail after a while. NO idea why, but this is on going. It must be bounced to restart which means I have to close any browser window which is open as well. This is annoying when I'm doing some heavy surfing/shopping and want to check if an order was successfully placed...
Cable TV has the technology, if they wanted a real sample they have but to ask, and I am sure people would jump at the chance to support their viewed programming. But for some reason, they are scared to simply 'ask' to monitor our viewing habits.
Its not invasion of privacy we don't like, its uncontrolled unstoppable invasion of privacy.
I participated once about 2 years ago, and yes it is tough. A few mistakes and the form is tossed, so that immediately skews the results. My wife and I had to sit down together to figure out how to do it.
And their is ONE form for ONE television. My wife and I rarely watch the same programs.
It was not until I mailed the form off that I realized that I could have simply written support for all my favorite shows...
Take away that and the big ISPs would love spam because they would be able to collect more money from their captive audience based on the volume of mail handled for that company or smaller ISP.
I got my handspring treo 180 for $99 and its a cell phone and PDA. Yes, they are that cheap and cheaper. A nice calc program may run you another $20, but its much more dynamic than a calculator.
The _ONLY_ reason to do this is as a last resort when you can no longer clock your existing core any higher.
Give me a fast single core CPU anyday. When and only when that single core is maxed should you present to me a dual core. Any dual core CPUs not running at maximum core clock is a waste and inefficient IMHO.
Yea, I am sick of all this metric "system" non-sense. The fact that paper sizes are compatible has nothing to do with metric system, but paper design. As it is in so many other measurements. A number is a number.

I fell for that one.
Furthermore, consider each company has their own passphrase to key code translation algorithm...
So the next logical question is, where do you keep your key?
in short, the party's over.

Nope. Its not over until our values are lost.
Well thats close. Its unfair after you have used it to your advantage, and have moved on to not needing it anymore.
Sort of like calling knives unfair after you have bought your first gun.
Its war, all is fair.

Equally unbelieveing.

Please. The best place to do this is in school.
:D
A high percentage of the women I "knew" in school was a direct result of my expert tutelage.
Oh and the pretty girls tend to be dumb, so it all works out. Or perhaps they just played dumb to get their hands on this hunk a burnin love
Normally not one to defend GWB, but he did stand against the steel tarrifs. And the trade organization ruled America in violation.
You can not impose tarrifs anymore. World trade organizations will see to that.
No idea of Rick Berman's ever is. He has single handidly run Star Trek in the ground.
Can we have Majel Barrett take over operations, as her sci-fi productions have been quality.

Told me that if I had a new computer I didn't even have to buy a DSL modem, I could use the modem that came in my computer. Just as he was.
For a moment I considered explaining the difference. But the desire passed.
Why not, corporations do it to allow them to retain certain dollars.
Yea, I have been amazed at how bad starbucks coffee is. I though it must be good if its so popular, but its some of the worst, next to job coffee.
Of course the sugary stuff is good. But if you get it straight and black, you will taste the quality of the beans. Not impressive.
Well probably because it will publish what it finds on the web. I'm guessing a real time network. Just like peer to peer networks.

Kind of like the United States Postal Service.
Great, but did they cancel Rick Berman?
ST will continue to sputter along until they replace that ball of ineptitude.
Should have let his wife do it. Majel has produced some really good sci-fi shows since the departure of Roddenberry. IMHO, Berman can't get it done.
Well I have been saying it ever since I lost a couple of Gs on SCOX. They are a temporarily effective marketing firm, nothing more, nothing less.
Uhh, weren't they going to buy new drives anyway? This gives them at least a 50-50 chance of saving money.
And void your warranty on a part headed for the shelf? Who cares.

:)
calculators are passe
Why do I care about a multiprocessor core?
The _ONLY_ reason to do this is as a last resort when you can no longer clock your existing core any higher.

Never can the small steps not lead to a loss of liberty but the collectively large step does.
The problem is that one of the small steps leads to a loss of liberty, but most are unwilling or unable to see it. Because its so small.
Most holes in the legal system start out small. But in legal terms, size does not matter.
SCO sues microsoft?
"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

It also works well to polish the teeth my son uses to "scratch" the DVDs :)
