Why would CNN refuse to allow me to visit their website? Why the hell is it there if I can't visit it? Its stupid, how does one make money with Palladium? If its not making money its not going to happen, and blocking me from CNN.com is not making money...
You have missed the point. What they choose to include was corrupted. Either do it right, or dont do it at all. But to sabotage it by doing it wrong is anti-competitive.
Comparing binaries is a good start. It should be reason enough for a grand Jury to decide its worth a trial. At which time the lawyers should be able to demand source code to see the truth.
Here's to hoping they smack these hoes with the DMCA.
If a 12-bit screen can display 58,621 "color combinations" then by definition of "combination" a 13-bit screen can display 117242, and a 16-bit screen can display 937936 "color combinations"
Thats WAY THE HELL MORE "color combinations" than 65535.
Thats a bullshit statement anyway you say it.

The truth of security is that its inversly proportional to the number of people with a desire to circumvent it.
It will NEVER work in any form for the music industry. For the software industry its just a matter of how popular your software is...
I had a similar thing happen to me. In win2K you can encrypt your files. So I naturally encrypted the file I store all my passwords in. But without extensive understanding you will never know that the certificate needs to be stored in order to decrypt the file.
So when I did my yearly reinstall, I no longer had access to my password file since I didn't save my certificate (not that its easy to locate anyway)...Thank God that I hadn't bought the shredder yet and I found an old copy of my passwords in the fireplace:D (unburned)
I know a korean who said "a picture is worth a thousand words is an american saying" but that only an American would believe it because a picture shows neither what preceeded the event, nor what followed. Thus a picture is pretty worthless.
I though it was ironic. Of course these pictures to tell a lot. Mostly he was talking about action photos I think, but what do I know?
Its not always about the market. Politicians are notoriously ignorant in the ways of Software and technology. If you let them choose they will simply pick the one that buys them the bigger condo.
Sure, consider everything. But be sure to understand the implications of tying yourself to one vendor. Open source by nature of its openness does not lock you into the "upgrade doom cycle." Close source does lock you in because how often is the bug fix only found in the upgrade?? And how many closed source packages (m$) use open file standards. Sure m$ can save in open formats, but you can't make that choice your default.
I bought my wife a diamond. She was a fiend, what could I do? Then 6 months later when I bough my computer I tried to hide the fact that it cost more than the diamond...
Didn't want to fuel that whole "more time with the computer" thing you know;)
I live in detroit, and get nice Canadian stations as it stands. I get all my hockey imported:D
However, If they manage to force it without any DRM strings, I won't fight it because of the better health implications of digital transmissions, like lower power.
If you think crack heads are bad, wait till you see what happens when the government tries to turn off the TVs. The white house will be purged.
Naturally you are looking for a motion detector with a narrow spread that you could aim at her hands. If it goes off say, 3 times, then trigger your alert. You can tweek it as you see fit. Probably have some you can even get connected to your computer.
Why bother copying an air broadcast signal when I can copy directly from the media the TV station is using to generate the original signal in the first place?
I don't have to piece it back together then. 5 years DVD players will be $20 bucks, and the cheap taiwan imports will not have any such Protection technology.
Like DVDs force you to watch that garbage after you spend $30 on it?
sickening. I still think it will hurt them so badly they wont be able to pull it off.

Appearantly the ignorant one is you considering that the encryption is faulty anyway, why bother fooling yourself...
And say N.O. (you know like those rape-stopping chicks)
He's askin for it. I am sure he will rethink his request.

Funny that the site is slashdotted and their aren't even that many comments here...
Most programmers really don't need the extra wrist exercise anyway.
I wonder if this will cause your eye muscles to get bigger?

There are already lots of common 3D formats. Why do we need another commom 3d format?
This is just a marketing push. Formats are irrelevant. They are not holding back progress.

Several things come to mind
1. touch lamp technology.
2. motion detector.
3. interrupting the path of a lazer.
4. galvonic (sp?)response, skin voltage detector.

If you get a receipt of purchase, you should get a warranty. Otherwise, all bets are off.
