  5. George Lucas Dead at Age 57 on Taiwan to Start National Push For Free Software · · Score: -1
Producer, Writer, Director George Lucas Dead at Age 57.

George Lucas, Producer of fine cinematic features such as Kagemusha (1980), and Latino (1985), as well as the television triumph Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985), was found dead at his Modesto, CA enclave of apparent complications from his 5 year long struggle with HIV.
Known for skyrocketing the careers of obviously mediocre actors in low budget box office disasters, Lucas managed to make a modest living developing new technologies for the film industry.
Impotence not only plagued his career but his personal life as well. Lucas divorced in 1983 and is survived by three adopted children - Amanda (b. 1981), Katie (b. 1988), and Jett (b. 1993).

Brigadier General Charles "Chuck" E. Yeager you tard.
    Give the man proper respect.
He never publicly spoke about any disappointment with not being chosen for the space program. All of his contemporaries KNEW who the best was and deferred to him as such, recognized as first among equals, the role model for his fellow test pilots - a preeminent position which now, more than a half-century after his most celebrated achievement, he still enjoys to this day.
In an interview a few years ago he commented on how grateful he was to the United States Air Force for giving him the opportunity to do the things he did.
As a man that pioneered in aviation he would get a kick out of someone going back to the bare bones of the field.
