is anyone else thinking what i'm thinking? tablet mac is the missing video ipod.. except it's actually got a big screen so you can watch movies whereever you go..
not to mention lucas get's 100% of ticket sales for the first two weeks, locks his movie in the largest screen in the house for 13 weeks and in some cases, get's a cut of the concession sales. (no, i'm not joking, those were the terms my theater agreed to in order to get the movie)
no, but being FORCED to watch commercials at the begining of a dvd that i just purchased, along with an anti piracy message (that no one ever reads) that cannot be skipped, i can't help but wonder "Gee golly, why would anyone want to have a copy without that?".
If there was an easy way to copy all my DVD's to my computer and remove those bullshit ads and warnings i would buy SO many more DVDs and rip them all, but since the industry loves to push their clients around, i say fuck them and just download the movie. saves me a whole lot of time.
it's sad but true, the Bush administration is alienating canada like no other administration in US history..
from the beef ban to the tarifs on soft wood, now tightening the border only makes canadians not want to vacation in the US.. or for that matter have anything to do with americans.. which is a shame really.
yes you can, at our AMC theater (in montreal) for our xmas party we hooked up an xbox to the back of the projector (can take just about any video feed you can throw at it, has about 40 connectors on the back) and played from inside the theater..
the image was real big, but it was pretty blurry on screen.
just so everyone knows, a 2 hour digital movie is about 80gigs (heavily encrypted). Just for the movie the play a projector 'pulse' has to be there. a Pulse being an ongoing connection between the projector and the server.
35mm film also has a very dark grey, you can always tell when the projector is on with a black image.
The main advantages to Digital vs. 35mm is are: -Impossible to scratch the image -Sound quality is WAY better (8.1 digital) -No Flickering (the shutter runs at 24fps which is low enough to notice) -The image is completely stable, when watching credits the words scroll up VERY smoothly. (to see image stability, walk right up to the screen while it's running and you'll see just how much the image really is moving around, even on very high quality 35mm projectors) -No more projectionist needed to thread the projector (damnit, i'm out of a job!):-P
The only downside i've seen it that i've found is that if you look real hard at some text on screen you can actually see pixels.. but considering how much sharper the image is, who cares.
I've had the honnor of being the first person in Quebec (back in november) to start a Digitial Projector. Yay.
Umm, widescreen is a 1.85:1 ratio, if that were theatrical that would be a Special-Scope film, which in theaters has more detail on the film than a Standard or, "Flat" film would.. so no, i'm infact getting less since the Pan-Scaned version of a movie is a trimmed version, then trimming it again into a supposed 'wide-screen' version is getting far less than if it was REAL wide screen.
I don't get how they get off saying there's no false advertising...?
When i see the label "Theatrical Release Format" below the "widescreen" logo on my DVDs (yeah, i found 3 in my collection that are on MGM's list) that tells me that this is the version that was used for the movie..
they can twist all around it and say that the format 'widescreen' was used, but that the version they're selling you is IN widescreen.. but that's totally missleading. they know that. that should be counted as fraud.
what if the bunker is built air tight and i run out of air?!
"If you don't like that, there's always the option of never venturing outside."
WHAT IF MY HOUSE BURNS DOWN THEN?! HUH?!
is anyone else thinking what i'm thinking?

Sound remnant of Stephen Glass' fabrication of stories..
i tried using it on two different networks, and in both cases it actually slowed down my browsing..
Considering this looks like a way for google to simply track every site i visit.. i sure hope they really aren't.. "evil".. :-/

what are you talking about? more like:
2005.05.02-14:49 WARNING: Jackson, Michael has entered neverland with kulkin.
Try saying this to it:
..
;)
"Let's recognize speech!"
now, unless you properly enunciate every word, it might hear "Let's wreck a nice beach."
speech recognition is nowhere near done yet..

i stopped using videotron a long time ago when i realized they don't care at all about their customers..
putting rediculous caps on bandwidth and giving the boot those those who used too much.. even though they advertised it as high speed internet.
bell has no cap and charges the same price, i don't understand why people still use videotron..

i was able to cross the border just by telling the customs agent where i was going and for how long..
Funny, i've been using a CRT for 10 years and my eye sight is still great..
as for disease, i doubt there would be such side effect since CRT tubes have been around forever and we don't see people dropping dead from it..
Umm, it's not a joke..
my inbox size has been upped and just so you remember, Gmail because available on April 1st.. which wasn't a joke either..
if you want to see gmail's joke, go to their page www.gmail.com you'll see their "Infinity+1 Inbox" joke..
this is bias against stupid criminals! i'm gonna sue the government for picking on me cause i'm stupid..!
..for promoting their news site! Geez, who does google think they are?

i haven't updated that site in 3 years.. if you want to see something current, try www.happyrave.com (temporary domain)
i would have thought Google would have better HTML than that.. "" i got 40 errors with the W3 Validator.

Ummm, have you seen the patents they've let through? Last i checked they'll allow just about anything be patented with minimal background checks..
