i did say i assume their products are secure, i said i assume they're trying to make their system secure.. why make it their selling point that they're working on security.. ?
Why do so many vendors go on about how they take security seriously and are striving to make their product more secure..?
I for one hope and assume this of ALL vendors.. so why tell me that? go out and make it secure, this should be a standard practice and not a feature. "NEW AND IMPROVED! OUR SYSTEM DOESN'T CRASH AND HACKERS CAN'T GET IN AS EASILY!! BUY NOW!"..
Pardon me, but how do they define "a copy"? seems to me that most of the time when i download off bittorrent i'm getting hundreds of peices from many sources, unless there's only 1 seed and no peers, there's no way i'm going to get the full copy from 1 person.
didn't stop me, i've wanted an ipod that i can afford (i = strapped comp sci student) for a long time. not only that, but with more than 100gigs of music in itunes, i doubt there's an ipod that would fit my collection, so why go with something like a 40gig that wont even hold it all..
yeah, cause no one here is involved with open source.
incase you haven't noticed code can/is considered to be 'intellectual property'. yet for some reason so many people don't love those laws and so something weird, they *give the code away for free*.. how strange..
much like my current situation due to stupid rules, you cannot transfer a domain 60 days prior to it expiring, so unless i want to pay my current registrar's fees to re-register it, then have it transfered, my only option is to let it expire then immediately register it again. unfortunetly (for me) those that snatched it up do this all the time and register 'just-expired-domains' in hopes of catching people like me.
I'll take it!

well a lot of my music is live recordings/bootlegs.. stuff that i wouldn't be able to buy anyway.
Why not hire convicted murderers as police officers/ditectives.. that way they can catch other killers better..

on a side note:
"It's not like firing up your Macintosh or your Apple where you push a button and wait six minutes for the thing to boot."
who has a 6 minute load time?! takes about 30 seconds. not even my G3 takes that long to load up OSX..
there's not loss of sound quality if you have optical in's and out's on your soundcard..

funny, i just seached for "free tibet" and got a hole lot of sites promoting a *shock* free Tibet... doesn't seem *that* censored to me..
a billion dollars as a prize seems somewhat of a NASA style expenditure.. why would they do that?
