Are there any rts games that put intelligence in the units?
I know certain ones have improved using auto exploring or workers that find work to do, but so many units in thee games would be great except they need hand holding.
For instance the spy in RON, you should be able to tell it find city and spy on the buildings, or patrol this area when a units move through convert on of them and then run away!
Or the queen in starcraft, you should be able to tell the queen to fly around looking for the enemy and parasite them or use the brooding attack, go to home base when energy gets low.
In one player you can constanly pause, but this kind of takes away the real-time, and you can't pause in multiplayer.
Are there any rts games that allow scripts for each unit?
I would say out of the 80-90% of our engineers attend church every sunday.
Mind you they most have their masters or phd, and i know at least 3 of them have their names on rfcs. And one of them is considered the top expert in his field.
What's kinda sad is what these people most want to do is e-mail, internet, send/receive pictures, do some basic word processing.
I reinstalled XP for my aunt who stopping using her pc, within minutes of being on the internet it was getting nailed. I couldn't even download patches.
It frustrated me and I know what I am doing. please no jokes.
>Not at all. How well one company responds to complaints as compared to another, both in the same industrial sector of the economy. Its totally fair, equal, and revealing.
No MS has millions and millions of Explorer's out there.
There is no way they could support everyone who has a question about it.
You are comparing a free program with a hardware box that can cost in the thousands easily.
No, you don't license routing protocols but you do license the software implementation of the protocol.
Because you seems rather arrogant let me explain.
SNMP is an open standard but you could license software implementing these standards. Cisco pays a certain company royalties for the SNMP agent in their router like the BFG.
>Apache 2 has a non-free license
I must not understand the lingo, how is it not free?
didn't the guy who can add like crazy come up with a new calender?
Something like 13 months with 4 weeks in each month?
I actually liked the idea though he admints that it would never take hold.
Are there any good bots for ET?
I like ET but it doesn't seem like a good choice for smaller LAN parties(4-10). Am i wrong?
Why would that have been worse?
You there are a lots of dark skinned people in America, who
are not african or american.
Are people from Egypt called African American?
Did you read the article?
They said it would only happen in extreme situations.
That fact that they are being upfront about should make you happy.
I don't care if someone tried to kill me, as long as they don't.
I wouldn't care if someone put a gun to my head as long as they don't pull the trigger.
They are not innocent.
Actually I wouldn't call this a pyramid scheme.
The island has a value, you may think it is silly,
but people are selling virtual stuff on ebay al the time.
That's a great idea.
:)
If I had time and could program well maybe I would.
Or you could just let me have some input in your game?

You are the idiot and the mod who modded you insightful.
Or maybe just the product of the US school system?
I wonder why when white people killed Indians it is called genocide?
But when Native Americans killed Native Americans it is called migration?
You have a hard time making friends don't you?
You have a 6 month Dell computer is front of you.
It is loaded with spyware and the like. Can't even get on the internet through modem.
You have no tools, because you are visiting folks over thanksgiving 300 miles away.
My point is the average person is having a hard time even getting on the internet right now.
That's funny you say this:
Where i work:
I would say out of the 80-90% of our engineers attend church every sunday.
Mind you they most have their masters or phd, and i know at least 3 of them have their names on rfcs. And one of them is considered the top expert in his field.

Is the open source movement moved to other areas besides software?
i.e. to me software is no different then books, music, architect plans, recipes, etc
So does the open source movement want to move into these areas also?
Or just stick with software?
Curious i guess.
'but yet is free and more reliable.'
I didn't know open source was always more reliable?

Be careful who you call the dumbass.
If you are a big enough customer MS will come and help.
I have seen it done.
You are comparing apples to oranges and it's an unfair comparsion.
"you will see that creating a market monopoly and using this monopoly to retard the distribution of public knowledge is immoral."
Have you read rms's stuff, or just what you see on slashdot?
I don't have time to shred your statement, but do some googling , the answr are all there.
>What about the Guy Who Wants to Make a Few Bucks Writing Useful Software So He Can Pay His Rent?
Didn't you know that guy is doing something immoral, at least according to RMS.
Ever heard of Chicago?
Except I am not a serious chess player(haven't played in years).
Quick question what makes a good chess player?
While cool to look at, I always hated playing chess with
non-normal pieces.
I friend of mine used to do crime scene investigation(no longer he hated the hours)
One thing he did say is that he never ever would have talked to a potential suspect, that was left to the police.
Just in case your didn't know.
> You can see the message of doom below.
There's irony or something in this statement.
