64 bit allows you to go over the 4GB limit that 32 bit OS's have. (Which is normally 3GB.)
Some people need more memory. Some don't.
I want to know if Vista is the slowly corroding mess that XP is. Which forces you to reinstall XP every year to keep things snappy. And in some cases, functional.
Because I had trouble saving the image as an 8-bit PNG. It's not an option under the "Save As" menu.
I eventually found out it's only an option in the "Save for Web" tool. But why in the world would it only be there?
Photoshop is still using the same old interfaces that they created LAST MILLENNIA. The program has changed enormously since then.
Now, I'm not asking them to "Vista" Photoshop, but this is where Adobe can take a lesson from Linux. Make a core app that works great and then have a separate GUI. People who are used to the old interface can just use the "Classic" interface. People who don't like it can try Adobe's "2008" interface. Or make their own.
"Redhat pissed on me and thousands of other small customers, when it would have cost them NOTHING to keep us."
How do you know that? Do you have direct access to their books, accountants and top managers?
If they did something wrong by no longer supporting the little guy, it would have been very easy to go back and offer the 30$ a year subscription package again. But they haven't. There's probably a very good reason for that, and it involves profit.
Exactly. If Blockbuster was a good store, people would go there because they *enjoy* going there. If you're having an unpleasant experience, you'll look for other ways to rent movies. Or other more pleasurable pastimes.
They got into the corporate mindset of "How can we wring every possible penny from our customers"? The customers feel that attitude.
I also stopped subscribing to Netflix once they started throttling my account. Bad move guys. I was almost done with my list and would have subscribed forever, renting a movie every month or so. Now I just laugh as you send me "Come back to us!" deals in the mail without addressing the point of why I left.
What in the world makes you think they want to ENCOURAGE online sales? But if they can make just as much money as selling physical media, then they'll do it.
Personally, I think all this hype over a massive flu pandemic is nothing more than fear mongering and massive stupidity. Having drills for a flu outbreak? WTF? They hae been touting this crap for the last 2 years... and nothing.
I know! I think it's all bunk too. They should shop giving Immunization shots because when was the last time we've had a plague of ANY sort?
Did they have any bridges that had more than 1 span?
How can you work with technology WITHOUT swearing?

Or maybe you're being used.
You can send files through chat.
And if your chat client is REALLY advanced, like ICQ, people can send you messages when you're offline.
You know, like email.
Take your panoramic screen and turn it sideways. Nvidia drivers have a setting for this so you can use your PC normally.
Wow. I had no idea that Al Gore was a fundamentalist.
Yeah, but your default is using the keyboard. And the first thing you do is get rid of all the floating menu junk with tab.
That's not a sign of a good GUI. That's a GUI that you don't want to see, and only used when forced to.
Do you realize you're saying that the GUI is so bad, you rely completely on keyboard shortcuts?
Every once in a while I decide to try using Gimp exclusively and dump Photoshop. And after a day or two I end up going back.
If you're using Windows, even Paint.net is better than Gimp.
No trouble finding anything? Really?

If I could afford it, I would.
7 kids has been the average norm for humanity.

I think Linux should buy Adobe.
Gamefly.

That's ridiculous.
You think all that rote information on issues will just fly out their brains because they think they're going on a comedy show?
The first question will throw them, then they'll automatically go back into political campaigning mode.
How would you take them to the cleaners over a 4 meg file on the network?
The sims is the computer version of playing with dolls. It's not that complicated.
Plus, any simulated reality is MUCH MUCH cheaper than going outside and doing things. And more convenient.
Who told you that the governments of the world are there to protect you and keep you safe?
That's what YOUR government is for, to protect you from other governments.
And enough with the prose. Cities have been wiped out to the last man, woman, and child before. Now we have the option to use nukes.
Dear user,
Please stop customizing your desktop. As you're now part of the Apple family, you will do things the Apple way.
Without unions to blame their problems on, what will their management do?
Hint: It doesn't involve actually making a better product.
Duh.

How is that different from any other job in the company?
I know! I think it's all bunk too. They should shop giving Immunization shots because when was the last time we've had a plague of ANY sort?
Oh, and in case you're not sure, I'm not serious.
