    Anti-Americanism in France is a reality. But it is also true that the French are embracing American habits. McDonald's is expanding faster in France than in any other country in Europe.

    Why not? How much bandwidth is it?

    The poster before you says 8.12 GB per hour, which boils down to 2.25 MB per second. Seems easily achievable to me.

    Ok, this response isn't what you asked for, but there were plenty of other helpful posts.

    So my question to you is "Why can't you have two home PCs, one Linux and one Windows, and then use VNC or PC anywhere to access them?"

    That way you only need one laptop, that uses any OS that can open up a virtual desktop to your full powered PCs at home. Need access to two different OSes? All you need is two windows open.

    You need network access to be able to do your job, might as well take advantage of it.

    And it especially won't work in California. Poor people buy older cars. Older cars get worse gas mileage, therefore poor people pay more taxes. Yeah, the new H3s or the SUVs based on semis get worse mileage, but most of the middle class can't afford it.


    Maybe this was a problem in the 80's, and your old used car was from the 70's. But my last "Old used car" was a plain mazda 626, it got 30Mpg hwy. And that isn't an economy car.

    They made economy cars in the early 90s. Just great for the working poor.

    However, the vast majority of Iraq's army was conscripts and ran away when given the chance. The vast majority of Iraq's citizens actually like the idea of becoming a democracy.

    When I worked at CompUSA, I noticed someone had installed SETI on the display model. I thought it was a good idea, made it look like the machine was doing something serious.

    A few days later I noticed it was gone. I asked the Mac Rep about that, he was visibly annoyed. He had uninstalled it because it would "Wear out" the processor.

    Seriously.

    I didn't know what to say to that. I did laugh at him though. This was a fully trained Mac rep from Apple.

    I've found that even though Newegg doesn't have the lowest prices you can get. They are rock solid reliable. Which has saved me money in the long run. If they carry the product I'm looking for, they get my business. I want them to STAY in business.

    Move your taskbar to the right side of the screen. Not only will the buttons always be the same size, you'll be able to run all that software you mentioned, plus have 20 other seperate IE windows.

    This way also gives you more vertical space.

    I've never seen such a blatant "hit-piece".

    Vague "Unexpected costs", admins are 30% more expensive, Linux training is 15% expensive than Windows training, undefined problems causing a company to go from tomcat to IBM websphere, hiring open source programmers is a gamble, you may get sued for using Open Source, open source is harder to support than you realize...

    Sheesh.
