I was in Bestbuy the other day and saw 12 in a case and 9 in Target. I'm seeing them on shelves now so can't say its a supply issue unless people don't want it.. Just my 2 cents.
I travel back and forth from Japan pretty regularly. They have a special machine that they take the drink pop it in a holder and within seconds throws the green light or the 'Abunai' Red alert signal. Its been there for years. Kinda cool that I can buy my tea from outside the security zone and bring it right now. Swabbing? LOL..
Rememeber when $125 got you a $5 gift certificate? Now its $250.... Thats why I dumped them EONS ago. I agree with you wholeheartedly on how they alienate people now.
BTW Would you be interested in a magazine subscription to Game Informer?
I saw this article months ago also. Now fast forward to today and I'm glad to see its obviously happening. With the internet peoeple are getting smarter. I didn't think that many people were smart enough to help shut down 50 BestBuy stores. Bestbuy use to be good but then when they got too Big for their britches they got cocky. Now after many years of raping consumers its time for them to pay the piper. I feel bad for some places where Best Buy is 'it'. Sooner or later someone could possibly fill this gap somehow but who knows. It will take some very smart person to do it right.
C'est La Vie Bestbuy.
Im not sire what your online needs are and how constant it needs to be but you can always rely upon Starbucks as a ISP. They are predominantly everywhere (Except in Yosemite national forest).

While i havent personally researched this you could try to find some place that does rentals. I go to Japan quite often and I end up renting a phone over there because its just easier and hassle-free. I use to rent a SIM card but now the phone w/ sim is cheaper than renting the sim card. I have no idea if such services exist in america for non-american travelers.
Its funny I replaced my 1st of 2 WRT54GL's at home after a series of constant drops over the course of a last few months. Here's the story:
Internet connection is upstairs while everything else is in my man-cave downstairs. I used 2 WRT54GLs in WDS mode for about 5+ years and life was good. I noticed when I got my new work laptop (now with N) home my laptop connection dropped alot more of my network at home would start dropping. Of course the work laptop wsa the biggest culprit while I was streaming things via NetFix downstairs and/or doing other misc items downstairs. It would be a major bombshell when my buddy came over with his laptop (also N powered) and as soon as he booted up his network and attached. BAM! Network Down! At first I thought it was some kind of Dell issue (insert Dell jokes here). So after 6 months of being annoyed I broke down and got the exact Wifi product you mentioned in this article. I did read alot of people say 'it drops wireless alot' . Well I would think that would be of ANY product that you buy. There could've been a bad batch or some other item in your house really dicking w/ wireless signal (A really crappy microwave, etc.)
So I bought this buffalo router and I installed it s my primary AP while will keeping a legacy WRT54GL downstairs and attaching it via WDS mode. Suffice to say that I am extremely happy with this product. I've had ZERO drops and by god I have about 19 wireless devices I have attached to test this (Droid phones, IPhones, Wiis, 360, PS3, PCs, Laptops, and a Tablet). While doing my netflix and other bittorrent activitie I even decided to transfer some TV episodes from my laptop to my main PC. Suffice to say a 5gb transfer over wireless is painful no matter what speed. But suffice to say during the test transfers not once did my wireless signal drop. SSH Sessions and windows file copies are extremely sensative and only work on a stable connection.
Also regarding Buffallo-Tech product they are HUGE in Japan. They are the Cisco/Linksys of wireless products in Japan. I know because I go there all the time and I always dive into their electronics scene checking out their stuff.
So like star wars "What does your heart tell you". Just roll with it and test the crap out of it. You have at least a good 15day return policy depending on where you get it from. I decided to get mine via Fry's B&M just in case it didnt work and I can return it.
I'll say this I got this version and for an xtra $30 you can get the version of this that seperates out the B/G & N Channels. Just all depends on how much wireless you are doing. Also depends on your setup. If you sit at home with one wireless AP then you should be quite ok. My setup is much more specialized and needed more work given the architecture of my home.
Like others have stated. PC Gaming hardware is anywhere from $500 on up. Every couple of years you do have to do some type of video card or other hardware upgrade. So this is where IMHO Console is King. Once the Snake Pliskin EMP Zaps all the DLC Servers in the world of lets say Nintendo. You lose all the wiiware you can DL and play. But fear not! I'll whip out my trust NES/SNES and bust it on A/V and play away. Now while we're lucky that we have PC Emulation to carry older titles to newer OS/Hardware when was the last time anyone here whipped out their 5 1/4 Floppy of Kings Quest or 3.5" discs of Leisure Suit Larry 3 to play on a PC. Eventually w/o some type of Emulation on the PC we can't carry some pieces of software on. But again I can whipe out a 25 year old console thats never been repair and it still works.
While I do my fair amount of PC Gaming which cant be done on a console. I do prefer console as well. I smell large amounts of trolling on this news story. The only games that I can understandably require a online key or a RSA Keypuck are online RPGS (WoW, Final Fantasy). Only required online games would require such a key. To get most PS3 games to require an online constant key would be friggin suicide. Tales of Valkyria 2, Disgea 3, etc. etc. offline RPGS. If Sony tries to pull this off basically its going to push more and more people to the 360 and other competing formats. Sony screwed up and thats that. Their DRM/security team who designed the schema for the PS3 should be fired and thats that. Its game over. Time for a PS4 and learn to do it right this time.
The xbox1 was hackable w/o a doubt and M$ learned their lesson quite well from their hodge-podge assembly of the Xbox1. Granted the 360 is slightly hackable but it isnt as Succeptable to hacks as the PS3.
I find it amazing that GeoHotz was able to do this that many people farming PCs where trying to do cracking the master key for the xbox1.
Why is this even a story.. This mobile payment system has been around for quite awhile. Its not something new that launched last week. Locally to me the only known Starbucks that has this technology is in Target which I rarely go to but never get anything from that location. Even my most visited Starbucks doesnt have this and its in a very busy city location.
And yes, still waiting on a android version of this software.
Ive been a subscriber to XBL for over 2 years now. When I first joined I didn't or never payed the retail $50 a year. I thought it was crazy. It wasn't until some random sales of kindness came about where 12year+1month cards came out for $30 via Ebay daily deal, buy.com,amazon,you name it. This would happened about every 3-6 months. I scored 2 cards because I figure 2 for almost the price of one. So as of the last sale and mostly through buy.com i scored 3 more cards. So basically I have the next 5 years worth of cards for $30. And I'm very sure that during some black-friday sale somewhere on the internet it will happen again. Stock up and save is what I say.

1) Insert popcorn
2) Push popcorn button
3) wait
4) When popcorn is ready instead of a chime you'll get:
DROID!!! DROID!!! DROID!!! DROID!!! DROID!!! DROID!!! DROID!!! DROID!!!
Only if you can program the replacement chime:)
I agree.. I give Reward Zone telephone #. Which has my address which I get those not so cool coupons in the mail. I bet even if you paid this in cash they'd still find you based on your reward zone information. I am very surprised nobody else thought of mentioning this except this post.
Sadly enough this site blows goes. I get errors and when I click on things it logs me out or 404. I am part of club nintendo japan and that site works like clock-work. Get game, input coupon, answer a few questions and points are posted. The American site seems very similar to respect when inputting a code. The only code of mine that carried over was Mario Party 8. As it stands right now its way too much effort to get 'coins'. Hopefully they'll get it right here soon because as it stands they are having a meltdown.
alt.wesley.die.die.die or

Seriously... This SCO thing is like a bad batch of cockroaches. I got some very aged rum which I'm waiting to pop open when this company goes away forever. Why don't they die?

I remember many years ago Sony shut down a decent shop called Lik-Sang . Karma's a bitch i'm guessing.
I wonder what this does for the PCI Rating (ttps://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/ )

I wouldnt call it interesting I would call this informative.
Please restate request.

Could this be available in something other than requiring me a update in software to my machine?
