    Somebody has to stand up to these trolls. I might as well be me.

    From now on, I will reply to every troll. That will show them! After a while they will get tiried of my posts and leave slashdot. It will be a better place then. We can live with banners. We can live with donations. Heck, we can even live with Jon Katz' submissions. But we cannot live with trolls. Please join me in my quest to answer all troll posts!

    Its been 3 months since my last bootup into Windows ME.

    Great! So you were able to run win ME without rebooting for 3 months.

    Well, that game of cards, became two games of cards, then 3, then 4, then 9.

    Whatever happened to games 5,6,7, and 8?

    I even.... [choke] ..... used Clippy

    Again, good for you. If you can't find your way around, use the clipster. If you're really bright you know you can turn it into an Einstein fellow, you know?

    Sure. And because the routines are written in C++ it will be blazingly fast too. If it were written in java, odds are that once the damn dog is finished it can start all over again - provided it can live that long on batteries.

    Ok, so Gates may have lied a couple of times, and maybe his practices are not always as ethical as could be.

    But face it: without him the world would be a totally different place. And before you "yes, a better place" I want you to think of all the good things he has done. Employing thousands of people. Giving billions of dollars to charity. Creating the most used operating system in the world. Providing geeks with an incentive to do better (linus comes to mind).

    A little more respect would be in place.

    I understand all too well that my employer forces me to use java. Being a c++ guy this makes my stomach turn. I consider java to be one of the darkest forces in nature. Invented to crush attempts at being intelligent.

    Anyone got a real job for me?

    Reminds me of a Dilbert cartoon in which Microsoft releases some software with a spelling error in it. The next day it appears that all available vocabularies in the world contain this new word.
