    Exactly. We shouldn't be trying to make computer interfaces more like the real world. Instead, we should be looking at the shit we have to put up with in the real world from the point of view of computer interfaces and making the real world more like our computer interfaces.:P

    Fortunately, there are no "black", "caucasian", or "asian" genes. You may be able to point at someone and name a race, but a machine scanning through DNA would have a hell of a time doing the same thing because of the absurd complexities and inconsistencies of the gene sets involved.

    Otoh, on my crappy TI-30X IIS, I frequently type:
    A * (B + Ans) + D

    I then change the values of all the memory variables, hit up to the equation, and then hit enter to recalculate it. I very much doubt that this RPN you speak of allows for that.:P

    So, in other words, conditions everywhere must become the same and humanity everywhere must become the same perfect counter to those conditions so that we may be wiped out by a fast change in the conditions.

    Evolution-wise -- and you are applying an evolutionary model here -- being perfectly adapted is a bad thing. You become dependent on a niche that might disappear at any moment.

    Hold it right there! That MPAA patent on light infringes on my patent on the electromatic force. have patents pending on gravity and the strong and weak nuclear forces.

    MPAA is now suing under the DMCA anyone teaching post-Newtonian physics as a disseminator of knowledge primarily intended for the circumvention of copyright protection systems. These so called "Physicists" are an enemy of progress and innovation!
