Good ambient - electronical - naturemusic can be downloaded for free from www.kahvi.org in.ogg and.mp3 formats. You also can order a CD from there (obviously, not copy protected).
Err, WHAT? Do you think I want all that CRAP that is in that "PACKAGES"?!!! I do not want to subsidize "home shopping network", "Spanish network","Local PBS",some stupid "Sport channels" (I do not WATCH sports...). If there is no viewers for the channel - it shall die. Or be VERY cheap.
What if they'll have mandatory bancruptcy ( amnesty on their debt WITHOUT putting into credit history) when they leave out their prison ? But while they are in prison their are billed for prison maintenance.
I still prefer Tcl (with Itcl for object-oriented programming). It's the easiest software environment to work with for me. I also use websh and dtcl extension for apache (tcl.apache.org). Using TCL you'll have a very compact and clean code.
Do the developers of SpeakFreely plan to make any improvements in that program? Linux version is not user friendly at all. DO they want to make it possible to use Ogg Vorbis compression? On my opinion SpeakFreely is stuck on the level of 1998 year technology...
Is it only me who misread the article header? A rapid desktop deployment for Debian system is not "news that matter", a working rapid desktop development system - a competitor to Kylix can be that news...
one small detail: wearing tie is not for programmers and for intellectual tasks. Wearing a tie blocks blood vessels on a neck just enough to create a condition in brain when it's lack oxygen. And thinking takes a lot of oxygen. So dress up - it'll help you to be in position and make you look pretty, but leave tie out.
I want it. I just want something that 1) doesn't fold like laptop 2) has palm graffiti AND handwrite recognition 3) be 2 times larger than a palm pilot 4) has at least an equivalent of 200Mhz Pentium, energy-independent storage and >=32 Mb memory hmm... may be Simputer?! and surely I want Linux on that thingie (or at least to have an ability to put Linux on it).

... water analog computers have been used since 1949... till mid 80-x for modelling differential equations. They were used for large-scale projects, such as modelling of water dams.
There is one little catch. Some old players and CD readers cannot read anything except the printed CDs. Saying you are selling CD you are misleading the owners of that old players.
Valera - to Venera...
Okies... but there is no such thing as bad publicity...
I asked astronomers about that. They are saying that NO current optical telescopes can see such small objects on a moon...

You don't have to use DTD's. Actually you may use XML even if you don't know what DTD is...

Don't you think it'll be fair? Taxes can be lowered if prisoners will pay for their prison services?
Luna-1 was launched to the moon in 1959... but missed. Here is the description of Luna-1
Luna-2 crash landed to the moon in 1959
With some effort (VCL to CLX porting)...
may be a wise solution....

Not only money... they might be afraid that if MS move to different country, it may damage national security...
You may end running the cracking of your own credit card number!

But could you imagine a compiler that makes stack-less code for x86? For "C" language.
Stack overflow, stack overflow... Better create an architecture and/or compiler where is NO stack at all! Be much more secure then.

How is everybody spent todays' slashdot meetup?

Actually, that post was a troll. I know he used the word "virii" just for fun...
May be a new word - virii - plural from virus (computer virus) ?
If you go to webster
you'll easily find that plural from virus is viruses...
