The "Cell" processors that will be used in the PS3 are not named that because they have biomechanical components, but rather because they run in parallel (I *think* the PS3 is going to have 6 of them, but I'm not looking at the place I read that as I type this) to create the core processing system, like cells do in living things. I don't know anything about the grid computing idea, though you may simply be referring to the connectivity between the individual Cell processors.
However, with a tablet (where the keyboard is inaccessible) a Control-click is impossible, which makes all of the useful things that can be done with Control-click more difficult again.
No, Guild Wars will have no monthly fee for anyone. And, if you pre-order it before this weekend, you can participate in a beta event starting on Saturday!
According to the official website, if you let your account lapse, you can start paying at a later time and your character will still be there. So don't pay for a month if you aren't going to play it.
You can't drive without a license (where you get thumbprinted).
I'm up to two states now where I've never been thumbprinted to get a license. (Minnesota and Illinois, and Illinois was only a month ago.) The most identifying data I had to give was my SSN.
Aw...Tux and I have the same birthday...granted, it's my 21st, so I think I have a little more to be happy about tonight... I'll raise a toast to you, Tux!
I have seen plenty of Linux users run everything as root. Technically, by default, all you need is root on a Linux platform. What's the difference, except for the knowledge not to do that (which does seem to be more prevalent among Linux users, but that could easily be attributed to the higher learning curve).
6. Consider Trying Another Browser
About 95 percent of all Windows users also use the Internet Explorer browser. And that's not just because it's the default browser on nearly every new computer. It's also due to the fact that until recently, it was the best choice for most computer owners.
But with the recent release of the newest version of the free browser Firefox, the average user has another, better choice than IE.
Firefox isn't as susceptible to many of the problems recently associated with Microsoft's browser, and it also offers a number of improvements, including a built-in pop-up blocker and tabbed windows. Even better, you can easily import all of your bookmarks and other settings from your current browser.
There is one slight caveat. A few Web sites don't work very well with Firefox. Either they look a bit off or simply don't work at all. If you do run across one of those, it's easy to quickly open IE. But for nearly all situations, Firefox is a fine alternative.
Another browser alternative is Opera, which has both a paid and free version. The free version comes with an ad banner, but is still worth a look.
I wonder where it will be housed...NCSA's new building isn't complete yet. And it doesn't seem like they would install it only to move it a few months later, does it?
The adapter I posted a link to is one that I found linked to from Stepmania's site a long time ago...it has worked wonderfully for me for over a year now..
All right, first off, I would like to say that I have lost weight by playing DDR - not much, mind you, but some. Enough for me. (I do other things too, but primarily DDR.)
As far as equipment goes, it sounds like what you are looking for is very similar to my own setup. I use an open-source DDR emulator called Stepmania that runs under Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. (Note, I run it under Windows, personally, and cannot vouch for how well the other versions work.) I use a pair of pads that I bought off eBay for about $40 (similar to these), which I like a lot better than the really thin ones that tend to be more common. Finally, I have an adapter to hook the Playstation gamepads to my PC through USB.
As for songs, there are several places around the Net to find them...I'm sure someone else will mention them, but just know that it's illegal to have them unless you own a copy of them (which sometimes means having a machine). As such, I'll leave that as an exercise for you to find, if you so wish.
You mean like Savage? Fairly new game, it's basically what you just described. Commanders see the game as an RTS while people in "Action mode" play a FPS.
Actually, the reason you got a canned response is most likely the fact that this scam was sent to many many people, and eBay (more specifically, PayPal) was dealing with an overwhelming number of inquiries into what it was about. I personally know 4 people (including myself) who recieved that e-mail.
I work as a support technician in the residence halls of a major university, and whenever I go to a room to try to repair a machine, I always scan for malware, and I NEVER find machines that are free of the scourge. Half the time, it's the cause of whatever problem they had in the first place.
March 14 already is a holiday...in Japan, at least. White Day is the day on which men give gifts to the women who gifted them on Valentines Day. Just a multicultural heads-up.
I noticed the signs at Loomis this morning when I went to my Physics 114 lecture (which just happens to be about quantum physics ^_^). I agree, this is very cool.

Yes, we know this, but Kirk doesn't in the movie...

Seven Easy Ways to Protect Your Computer
And, in case you don't want to RTFA, a quote:

How's that crow taste?
Everything shows up fine in Firefox except for the numbers following "COUNTDOWN TO WIDE AWAKE AND PHYSICAL:"
You can also read a LOT of information on this website at the unfiction forum dedicated to it. Really interesting stuff.
How does this work? I have to admit that I would like this functionality...how do I access this? I have a Nokia 3650, if it makes any difference...
*raises hand* It was C++, but same difference.

Warning...goat.cx link above. Man, I haven't been hit by this one in a while... I was getting lax about checking them.

I usually find sex as being good, as long as it's done well... ^_^
Well, if the first is categorized as "good", and the second is categorized as "bad", wouldn't that make the sequel worse than the original?

IIS is an XP feature. In fact, one of the viruses currently afflicting Windows XP (W32.MSBlast.d) takes advantage of a security hole in IIS in WinXP.
