Once in the crater it's gonna be pretty easy to see that BIG WHITE BOX made out of metal and built to resist VOLCANIC EXPLOSIONS. This isn't some hibernating i-book with a webcam doing wifi updates form some rock. It's a fuckin bomb shelter.

It's probably the most noticeable (and thusly find...able) feature in the crater.

We cut out of the 3 hour line (The charge goes to your phone bill, handy!) and went to the front, put the picture on the screen of the phone and put it on a square reader. It beeped and ten minutes later we got on the coaster. We did that all day. Chumps, lines are for poor people.

Retarded. Preventable. Oil changes are fucking simple, patching your system is even easier.

How ridiculous is it that they have caused you $500 of work when ten seconds of clicking would set the thing installing.

Also, I think the onus in this case should be on the end-user. Don't talk about burglary. Or motor oil. This is new territory, nothing substantial about cybercrime has been setup, it's such a fledgeling criminal offense.

The internet is a malicious place, you wouldn't walk through Harlem at midnight a scrawny nerd in a nice leather jacket. The Police will still pursue the offender but they're going to think you're RETARDED for walking through such a place.

Anytime I'm on a friend's computer and those huge msn e-mail warnings come up (and those are hella small compared to these ads) or some retard has logged on I always scream out in horror. No one should put anything down there that isn't in a taskbar and cordoned off from doing anything to my sanity!

Left sucks, it would just jar your browsing experience. No one needs that.

On the top? Uhh... Probably again alot of inadvertant clicking trying to minimize or close. I know for me I have all my windows maximized so I can just whip my mouse up to the top right (Requires no brain use) and start mashing mouse buttons.

If you give your children freedom, without cockamamie rules like "Don't lie to us" and "Don't quickly close down windows", you'll find that they will police themselves. They're going to see porn eventually. Somewhere they will. you can not stop that. there are bad things on the internet, as there are in real life, seeing things that might be unpleasant (I'm speaking of your rotten.com's and such) but looking at that stuff is it's own punishment.

Your kids are smarter then you give them credit for, but please, don't punish their natural urges to explore the more adult side of life (I don't mean just porn, adult stuff in general, as in non-barney) with obtuse rules. Let them close the door, let them lock it too. If you trust your kids you will have a much better relationship with them.

It is when trust breaks down that kids will do drugs and not tell you. Then you won't be able to educate them without making them look at you as captain bringdown. Discuss sex openly. Discuss Alcohol openly. Discuss with your teenage boys the need to respect women, life, privacy. Your kids will love you so much more if you can be a friend too.

Now, if they're way out of line I'm not saying you should back off and be a total beatnik parent, you're still the authority figure. Just use some rationale eh? If your kid tries dope you'd much rather hear about it from him after the first incident, not the cops after the 100th he had to hide from you.

Same deal with the net. To love is to set free... I think Sting sang it best.

Listen to Will Smith or Alanis' albums. Do those stinking piles of shit have anything remotely resembling a full collection rather then a hobgobble of singles? I think not.

The joke ass bands that are Green Day and Stinkin Farce (Linkin Park) wouldn't know an album if it bit them in the face. Those idiots write 3 or 4 singles, all to be released in three month intervals to maximize fan stupidity, and then fill the rest of their albums with noise so they can pretend they're musicians.

I'm sorry, but the lead 'singers' of linkin park should be dragged into the street and shot if they ever try to sing again. I've never heard such drivel. Tell me how there lyrics aren't pandering to the white suburban nerd, who thinks he has such a terrible life. Poor kids get three meals a day, a warm bed, school, AND they have the privilige to listen to this crap.

And since that's the case, wouldn't a 'pay per song' model be more effecient? These tools won't have to fill in the rest of the album anymore. They can just put a new song out every three months. Jeez, if they were smart they'd do that and insist on a 'modest' increase of price to $1.98.

I bet it's easier to sell twenty idiots one 'cheap' song, then sell one idiot a 20 dollar album.

I don't know that I have ever seen a 'rock star' driving a really nice car. You know who I see with lots of money? Rap artists. Anyone care to venture a guess why there are rap artists that make a shit load of money?

They have their own labels! Death row, murder inc, I could go on and on. These guys were smarter then whitey from the get-go. They produced their own music, and sold it themselves. New artists get picked up by these labels and make ridiculous amounts of money because these labels know how easy it is to market these albums. All you need to do is have a video filled with hot chicks and some Bling, have music that doesnt suck(Doesn't have to be good, Ja Rule sucks heavy fucking ass and is really rich), and the white MTV watching yuppie kids will go out and buy that album in droves.

There is no shortage of smaller record labels that will sign interesting groups. If not, create your own label! Swollen Members did it with Battle Ax records, and the beastie boys eventually came out with Grand Royal as a record company. Hello Nasty sold a shitload of albums, and wasn't promoted by RIAA tools.

If more people followed this business scheme (Basically invented by Puff Daddy and Russel Simmons) when they went for a recording contract, they'd be rich. (See Bow Wow, but it helps that Snoop Dogg was in his corner.)

I don't feel sorry for Idiot Band A when they sign with Mega Asshole Company B, without taking into account whats going on. That's just stupid business practice.
