Note it's only a recommendation. They are not enforcing students and staff to change.

students usually are savvy computer users and easy deal with anyway. It's the staff that gives the most problem.

In my university, we are preparing migrate email system from UW imap to Courier imap. this involves setting changes (root folder path) on client email software (pine/outlook).we got a lot resistance because of this.

a lot politics when you have to deal with the staff.

given that there are plenty of experienced sysadmins in toronto now and the fact that an immigrant got the job puzzles me.

actually, I think lately(2003-2004) the articles are more .. er, normal. Dan (the host) doesn't give any fucking funny advice and doesn't post as much funny stories as before. It's like, the original Dan left.

sounds like we have a similar job.

We have a HP scanner which i can feed the papers to the paper feeder and one button, the scanning starts automatically. of course, you can set the scanning to be low resolution and resule in a smaller pdf file for you.

but that only scaned one side, you can turn up the pages and scan the other sides of the papers. then in PDF pro you can rearrange the paper order very easily.

It's not hard job if you have a decent HP scanner (or any brand ) and a pdf professional.
