The same people clamoring for FLAC because of audio quality are also the same people snapping up vinyl and cassettes, and probably have already wrecked their hearing past the point of being able to tell the difference. High-end Audio is a bunch of snake oil.

Nobody would watch it. It would be the like the Techinical Oscars. Games lack the celebrities talking heads the majority of people fawn over. In essence, such a show would be handing out awards to companies, and companies as a whole aren't pretty to look at, nor would be good things to fantasize about being.

I personally think book 7 would've have gone between God Emperor and Heretics, rather than after Chapterhouse, hindsight being 20/20 and all.

I think this because the writing in the last two books seems that the reader was supposed to know more about the Scattering and Famine times that was hinted at in God Emperor

Espeically in the hands of a large group of humans. People in large groups are idiots, the majority feel the need to conform to the mass, for whatever reason. If you've ever wondered why conflicts go on, like the BS in Israel, its not because of a need for a nation, or personal security, its because everyone else is throwing rocks and blowing themselves up. One can say, this is because the majority of palenstitians are unemployed, but that just refenforces my inital assertion.
