It is annoying that everythign is custom. That means no upgrading other then by buying a new box from MS.
Well it is a console game system. If you're concerned about upgrading your game system then this might not be your system. A PC gaming rig might be more appropriate.
Myself I'm curious to compare this to the PS3 specs when we see them. I love my PS2. I'm not really a fan of MS software, but am open to the possibility of them producing a good console system.
Funny you should mention that. Free oxygen has been found on two bodies in the solar system for which life has not been postulated as a source, both in about the same partial pressure that Mars' methane is. Both Europa and Enceladus have tenuous oxygen atmospheres produced by sunlight splitting the ice on the surface.
Europa is one of the top candidates for supporting extra-terrestrial life in this solar system.
The grandparent comment was funny. I was ready to declare them the winner of this thread, but then you had to throw your to cents into this. I will continue to read on, because I need to find a tie breaker for funniest comment in this discussion.
I can see where youre coming from, but I think it is safe to say that the idea is to teach general computer literacy, not necesarilly a specific platform. I mean I grew up learning to use a computer on an Apple II.
I later taught myself to use a Mac, and after that started building my own PCs. Im now back on macs and use linux at work. Am I exempt from your point because of my nerd tendencies? Well probably yeah, but Im arguing that I was able to learn all these different platforms because I was exposed to the skills themselves.
Agreed that the tone of the FAQ needs a bit of work, but the folks involved are definitly a pleasure to work with. I ran into a bug with a previous release where Neo/J was crashing and one of the developers (Patrick) worked with me for a couple days so he could patch the bug in the installer that caused this.
Fedora Core 3, Gnome, Firefox 1.0 here. The exploit worked for me, and I've got the browser settings configured a bit paranoid, so I'd be curious to see what we've got set differently.
Just want to drop another vote for Attack!. It's a lot of fun even for folks who haven't played any battle strategy board game before. The rules were pretty easy once we walked through a couple turns step by step.
My Thinkpad T30 (currently running Fedora Core 3) has a trackpoint and a touchpad. I have never intentionally used the touchpad. I'd love to get a powerbook someday, and that day would be sooner if the pointer device wasn't a touchpad.
Totally agree with you, but I just need to clarify one point: "Um, a paper reflects light. Thats how you see it. So does mostly everything else in your surroundings, except for the minority of objects which emit light. Lamps and screens, mostly."
A light bulb that is on and emitting light is still reflecting light as well. Obviously we don't see it because it is obscured by the light is gives off, but... blah bla blah, you get the picture....
I agree that a remake (or remake of a remake in this case) can turn out something worth watching and enjoying. I agree that it doesn't take anything away from the original.
My personal concern is that I really dig the first three movies, and I'd like to see more from the characters. If this is in fact a remake, then it will at least be the same basic story retold for the third time with different effects and a couple story points tweaked.
If this is done as a springboard for more sequels, then I guess it's good, but I would think it would simply be better to do a new story that re-introduces Ash to the audience. If people enjoy the movie enough they could check out the older versions then...
it is not a threat, any more than is THIS piece of Linux and MacOS Malware:

Oh no!! That anonymous coward is spreading the OS X virus on the internet! I must be infected too now. Please, for your own good, close this browser window immediately!!!

Kudos to both of you for now!

God I'm going to hell for laughing at your comment!!
Oh wait.... sorry
Nice to be proven wrong!

I can't comment. I'm too busy moderating!
Interesting story, but our version would have been cooler!

Don't knock it. Once you've gone circus freak, you never go back.
The brothers were siamese twins. ??

Funny, though it's more an advertisement for Codeweavers.
Thank you.
Such a large picture, there very well *could* be a boobie out there somewhere. DL the whole image and check every window before you complain!! =)
Somehow I still can't help but mention that there is a town called Greenwich in Connecticut. Damn I feel so ashamed for being that guy.
