This is what I'm looking for when picking up a book to pick up a new language. Give me the class library API and some examples. For more advanced topics like multi-threading, I'm going to want something with maybe a little more depth and background on the topic.
Whenever I'm developing Java or C#, I spend most of my research time just browing the base class libraries anyway, so I can't think of a better toilet-time companion.
I can easitly see your point, but at the same time, without knowing much about OneWorld, I have to wonder if it doesn't do a little bit more than you're giving it credit for.
While I no doubt respect ManMan (especially with a kick-ass moniker like that), I could easily see ManMan looking on enviously at OneWorld's application and system interop features. Try RPC on ManMan..
True. But this is the first thing I've seen pointing to an actual release date (er.. month). But, then again, I'm not huge into games, so it the target date could've been known for some time now.

Anyone else find this random quotes appearing at the bottom of stories today ironic? I haven't looked at Slash, but it looks like two quotes are randomized daily maybe?
From the looks of the screenshots.. it's even worse.. stick-figure tanks..

If you had a gaming platform, wouldn't you be expecting online play to take off like mad? A lot of us have had the pleasure to play PC games online, but a part of the console market never has.
Think of it this way, it's usually more fun to play with/against a human than the game AI (for now, at least). Online games == there's always a friend around to play with.
I agree. I've always felt this contemptment towards Harry Potter (although I read the first book and found it *entertaining*) b/c growing up I read a lot of better works that didn't see this kind of hype b/c of the era in which they were released:
Chronicles of Prydain (The Book of Three..)
Chronicles of Narnia (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe..)
LOTR is also one that ranks up with these (possibly the best) and is now getting it's due and the old-school in me scoffs at the brooms and magic-soccer of the Potter stories.
Someone mentioned it below, but the South Park that aired this week was a riot. The kids undertake a Tolkienesque quest and Cartman dogs on the kids from a nearby town that are "playing Harry Potter". Quite good..
The Dutch and the Japanese routiely dance around this world record. I've been around for 3 of these so far and within 6 months a Japanese expert (also with students and volunteers).
Is this really news? It's my understanding that all console makers lose money on the consoles, but make the cash back up via the games. With this type of revenue model, it takes a little time. It's not quite interesting to look at the months near a platform launch. Of course, I could be wrong..
"Imagine people selling discs of thousands of hours of music, or a whole year's popular films for $5 on the street." -- Imagine it happening a lot sooner than the RIAA/MPAA would like - say 10 years or less..
Ever defended their actions? Hah! We even have our own King of Pork. Chairman of the Appropriations commitee does bring certain powers..
I can remember reading about the B1 Bomber project and how parts of the bomber were being manufactured in all 50 states at the same time. Think some Congressman wants to kill that project? What, cut jobs at home?
Democracy in America has become a joke, but hey, at least we have a McDonalds on every corner and first crack at Dude Where's My Car?...
I agree completely with what you said, except that once again, the folks reading this site are not your typical computer users. Most Windows users would consider it a task, if not impossible to add a custom clock.
Albeit a geek's dream, this is also a nightmare for law enforcement agencies around the nation (and world). Could you imagine how many more victims the father-son sniper combo would have hit if they were able to change the color of their vehicle whenever they desired?
"We're looking for a blue Caprice.. Check that.. We're now looking for an orange Caprice.."
I'm in my first year as a Tech Corps volunteer in Ohio. I basically donate two afternoons a month to a public school district in town to assist teachers with technology projects in the school. We'll be working on re-designing the high school's Web presence and we'll also be conducting a lesson with French students to make fictional travel Web sites of French travel desinations.
In my opinion, you can't beat the gratification that comes from doing something like this. I get the opportunity to lend my expertise to an inner-city school district that could greatly use it. Definitely a win-win. I can't encourage this enough.

Thanks for the review.

If Darwin's theory of evolution was correct, cats would be able to operate a can opener by now.
Give them some time..
He was going to use the NGLM (Nail-Gun Launch Mechanism) but it's still in development..

Yeah, my attention span only runs about twenty seconds, anyway - no hard feelings.

Think we can get the 5 W's for this sentence?

Your company must have one hell of a sales staff...

If Nissan loses (which I hope they do), will they pony up the cash? Everything has a price..

Would this truth also apply to those that purchase non-Kleenex brand tissues and non-Xerox brand copiers?

Very impressive, but tell me what 7 x 10 yields and you'll have me convinced of your math knowledge.
If what you say is correct, I wouldn't do her with PhysicsScholar's dick and someone else pushing.
liar..
It is cliche. And your disclaimer does nothing to change that. I'd still hit it..
Anyone catch RMS on The Screen Savers last night? He told a very interesting story of the night of fun he had recently at the Playboy mansion...
