When I use marijuana I'm not hurting anybody. When I download music that I would never buy, even if P2P didn't exist, I'm not hurting anybody. They are both victimless crimes.
He all but admitted to doing that stuff on the tapes he released. If he wasn't the mastermind it was people within his organization, and I'm sure he was the one who gave the final OK.
You sound like you're interested in ancient greek democracy where everyone votes on every issue. Just travel back to 5000 years and go to Greece and things will be just the way you like them.
That's a stupid thing to say. If the number of trees on the planet was ever reduced significantly the price of wood/paper would go up really high, and so less people would use them. You need to read about the laws of supply and demand.
How much (other than as much as their pockets can fit) money do they really have to make to justify their projects?
I totally agree with you, in fact I think that we should just take all the money from society and distribute it equally to every person, regardless of contribution. The added benefit would be that people programming open source software (and not getting paid) would get the rewards they deserve.
Are you sure you never miss content? I use internet explorer and an add filter (the popup Ad Filter), sometime when I click on something and it dosn't work (eg. the CNN poles) I realize my popup filter is catching it and I hold down CTRL to disable. Is there a 1 button disable in Mozilla or is there someway around it? Or do you just argue that any site with popups dosn't deserve your time.
This evening, my daughters asked me. "Why do the other kids laugh at us?"
I wanted to tell them the truth - it's because they wear old clothes and have cheap haircuts. I can't afford anything better for them right now.
"It's because they are idiots, kids", I told them. "Don't listen to them."
Your post was great, I was laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes. You are the reason I read comments at -1.
If you already have points A and B on your routes, just save your route, erase all the points you don't want and plot a new route, its not exactly a direct method but it can be done. This is probably easier than tracing over the area with the mouse.
I don't know what you're using, but I have 2001 and 2003, and they both show you the distance of your route at the bottom of the 'find route' window. Its right next to the duration of the trip.
I think the market does choose Windows PCs. Clearly a linux PC could be sold for hundreds less, and people would buy it if it was as good as windows. But this dosn't happen, because linux is too hard to use for most people. And don't tell me about how the computer makers are in Microsoft's pocket, any small computer store could buy the parts and make linux PCs, but they don't because very few people will buy them. You may say that most people don't choose, but that is just the fault of Linux for not being a legitimate choice.
You act as if you think the market is fair and moral. The market is controlled by price and if a product is easily stolen (eg. free) and there is infinite supply, then no one will pay for it. So either the RIAA has to get the law on their side to the point where the people are afraid to pirate stuff or think of some other solution or just cease to exist. Don't say things like "people shouldn't be ripping them off". If breaking a law benifets me and I have almost no chance of getting caught then I'm going to break it. I speed, I use drugs and I pirate media, give me a reason to stop.
Remember also that there's been plenty of teams that went out, tried to buy a championship, and in the process they also failed miserably.
The Yankees have the highest payroll every year, so it could be argued that they try to buy the championship every year (and fail miserably over half the time).

I wrote a program in Qbasic to solve it. Is that cheating?

warning warning, parent is spoiler.

Diablo 2 is fine, but World of Warcraft will be better, just 8 more months...
Does anyone else find it funny that this was modded redundant?
I saw some screen shots of this in the Diablo 2 forums. +1 skills, and some other stuff...
HALO PC, dosn't work in linux.
Accessibility. I'm blind and using linux is hard. Windows is easier.
It wasn't an action hero program, I think it was an episode of pokemon.
I said linux...
Apple is monopolistic. They have a monopoly of operating systems running on Macintosh comuputer. I think you need to review your econ 101 notes.

The guy has girls, should they still get the bowl cut?
But on the serious side, all schools should have school-supplied uniforms through 12th grade.
That's fine, but what about the hair cuts?
I really liked this part:
