    It is slightly amusing that KHTML became WebKit became Chrome with GTK underneath. At least it wasn't the windows version recompiled with WINE.

    iphones and other internet-enabled devices don't have flash or acrobat. Or if they do have flash, it's the stripped down ARM version.

    Aside from county sales tax, some cities/municipalities have their own sales tax. And sometimes the maps for them get very strange.

    C has another advantage in that it's closer to the machine. Some people that only use higher level languages have no understanding of what's going on underneath or the performance characteristics of their data structures.
