    I was making minimum wage ($5 per hour IIRC) as a dishwasher in 1997. If I was still a dishwasher, I would be making 3X as much at minimum wage.

    Especially since Christa McAuliffe was supposed to have a phone call from President Reagan during his State of The Union speech to celebrate a teacher in space and the space shuttle's 25th launch. Never mind that NASA had a study that predicted a shuttle disaster as 1 in 25.

    Smoke is coming from the Butte County fire that is 180 miles away. Otherwise, air quality is generally good in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    We have smoke in the air and it's not even Thanksgiving. The air quality of the San Francisco Bay Area from the Butte County fire is worse than Beijing.

    I didn't have that option with my 2006 MacBook with a 32-bit processor because many app developers dropped 32-bit updates. Windows 10 32-bit runs just fine until Windows developers start dropping 32-bit updates. I think 32-bit Mint Linux will be the last holdout.

    When your Mac can no longer run the latest and greatest version of Mac OS, you can install Linux to keep using it after you get a new Mac. Now it can only be used as a paperweight.
