You have two choices at the moment - OpenOffice.org for X Windows, the official port, but development is very slow, and recent version(s) do not compile... or, NeoOffice/J, a port that runs in Java, with the OpenOffice toolkit although this is being worked on to have a native Aqua interface.
In other words, be patient, (or in true OSS-style) join either or both project and start helping;)
I use NeoOffice/J on my mac - its a little slow, but i prefer it to running X just to use an office app
That script sounds quite useful, especially on an asynchrounous (sp?) connection, any chance you could post/host it somewhere for the non programmers to use?
How many do you need? - Fluxbox (or blackbox or *box), Windowmaker, IceWM, Enlightenment, XPde, None, ION, Ratpoison, or the several more that I cant be bothered to find for you...
Alternativley, you could use google to find out how to turn the spatial interface off & use the old nautilius
Or perhaps you'd be happer with the huge range of choices on Windows - explorer.exe, explorer.exe or possibly explorer.exe;)
NO, they dont go in the same space - one (the G5Jam) goes in the space in front of the PCI slots; the other (the Swiftech) goes down the bottom at the front between the air intake for the CPU's and the fans.
I have couple of these USB WiFi adaptors, bought for my mom & sis - never had any joy in getting them running under linux
Its been a while since I tried (last christmas iirc), but they seem to follow D-Link's tradition of picking a whole bunch of different chipsets & giving them all the same product number...
I think there may even be a few different 120's ( a DWL-120 and a 120g or similar) just to confuse everyone even more
Are there any USB - WiFi adaptors, that run in linux? - my family keep grumbling about the *cough*borrowed*cough* version of XP they both use - I would get internal pci cards, but my sis's pc doesnt have pci slots - its a wierd mini AST pc from several years ago. My moms is a regular pc, but its in the corner shielded by walls so I bought the usb one so i could put it in a more accessible placce
Can you play Diablo II multiplayer over a lan with a pc?
If it doesnt I dont care.
Im fed up of games that are ported to the mac, but not compatible with the same game on a PC played over a direct LAN connection. Im not a programmer (I know, I know...), but it seems to me that it shouldnt be that difficult, im presumably theyve come from the same codebase so they should be reasonably compatible.
Although as this is The Sun, I wouldnt put it past them to make articles up...
yes, but for tape drives instead of cds...
Except theyre trying to change the law so he can
Thank god I'm not American - I dont want to live in a movie....
The last version I used had a windows style menu, this has now been replaced with an aqua style menu in the alpha release

For any Brits, cahoot's online banking runs in any web browser (at least any gui browser, I haven't tried lynx ;)

Its just started on the radio :)
Hope the servers are ok for all you foreigners...
and also to see (the) KDE (team)'s reaction, seeing as they have a fascination with naming everything Kanything
I use Romeo on my mac as a remote control; afaik it has similar features to sailing clicker, but with the added bonus of being GPL'd OSS Software :)
(new design, release Q4 2004)
(According to www.hoojum.com the manufacturer's site anyway...)
Not many alternatives left?????
;)

Thanks :-)
Time to go shopping......

I just tried that and got timothy's login (his pass is 123 apparently)
retried it & got CmdrTaco's, with a new pass of goatse.cx
read what you will into that...
So its arrived over here finally...
;) - go check them out on iTMS
The selection seems to be a little limited at the moment - no Pearl Jam, no Bad Religion, no Pixies except the promo song
Ive still managed to buy 2 albums & a few assorted tracks already.
Bonus points to Apple for including Soul Coughing - ever heard of them? thought not

Well of course...
All MY windows have a sun around - kind of - in the form of OpenOffice
OK so its technically not Sun but it was originally
